Mothers makes a good product. Carnauba wax will not last the entire winter but I will also say that synthetic wax won't either (especially if the vehicle sits outside most of the time). I wax my truck about once every 2 months (shocker I know) and I have used both. My "personal" preference is the new type synthetic wax since you can actually get some on the plastic parts of your truck and it won't leave any residue. In fact I wax my outside mirrors with it.

So honestly it's up to you what you use. The key difference (to me) is the frequency that you use it.

www.aircraftextras.com. Order Betty's TLC Polymer Cosmetic Care. I've tried it all in aircraft and auto detailing. This stuff is the real deal! I apply it about every 6 months.

This sounds like good advise, Im going to pick up the stuff and do mine this week. My 13 DCLB is MGM, I love this color when it's clean. I can tell from washing it yesterday at the car wash that it needs waxing very bad. It had little water spots all over the entire truck, after using both soap then rinse once I got home it looked exactly the same like I had not even touched it....

OK, so what do you fellas suggest for a new truck coming off the lot? I have read that you need to clay treat the paint, then seal, then wax, etc. I have never used the clay rub on a vehicle. From what I have read, there are iron deposits on the paint from the shipping that needs to be removed. It would seem I could go into Wal Mart and buy something off the shelf that would work. Some of these guys are spending hundreds of dollars on line for various sealants and waxes. Comments for a new truck??

That's how I started by going to Walmart. You can get a clay bar kit from there. Not sure if they sell a sealant. A lot of people swear by Meguiars NXT sealant. I would clay then put the sealant down, then put a coat of Mother's wax on top to get the shine and pop.

I buy all my stuff online now. One reason is I use a porter cable to polish my vehicles to get swirls out. Which brings up another point, learn proper washing techniques. Google 2 bucket wash.

You don't have to buy stuff online, it just depends on how anal you are about your vehicle. :D

"Zymol" paste carnuba wax.Carbon for dark paint & Cream for light colors . Easy on & off. will not mark trim . You use it in small amounts. Smells good too. It costs lots ,but is good stuff .I have used it for twenty something years with very good results.

I have found that Meguiars Paint Sealant 2.0 is great. Easy to put on and take off, but hard to find. I order it off of Amazon.

Thanks Ace. I used to use the Zaino line, which meant I had to order on line. I have a few lists to use and will see what WW has on the shelf.
    Thanks

I found the best way is to apply the once a year wax nothing lasts. You have to wax and touch up paint every year.
