Not exactly backing Gemma Bill, if Jax knew the whole truth he should cut Gemma out, but he doesn't know. Sutter is writing that in as tension. There are no angels in this bunch, right now in this act, Gemma is more right than Tara, but in the long run, after Tara is gone? When Jax figures it all out? Gemma has done much, much worse than Tara.

 

I wonder if it will pan out before they end of the season...I hate major cliff hangers. i know, not typical sutter, right?

 

and the reason we are in this thread discussing all this shit is because Sutters amazing storytelling...

The finale of this whole show ought to be a mindblowing experience!

 

I told my better half that this season will have a major cliffhanger where all this shit comes to head........then we wait and wait and wait............................

Jax is fully aware that she is facing jail time. I am sure he is not dumb enough to think that has a lot to do with her decisions. Who knows what will come of this.....except Sutter.

Got ya now. I agree that if Jax finds out the truth about Gemma, then she will be out.

Hmmm. How about predictions? Here are mine:

1. Tara will finally lose it and will shoot Gemma. Unsure if Sutter will have Gemma live or die at the end.
2. Jax will take the boys, regardless of outcome in #1.
3. DA will get the Irish, but not the Chinese. Chinese will have full distributor control of guns in Cali.
4. DA will honor her deal with SamCro.
5. SamCro will move on to safer money making ideas, like the prostitution.
6. Clay will go to Ireland and take over the position of Gaylen, after DA arrests/kills Gaylen.

Alternative thoughts is Tara screws something up and kills Jax, Clay returns in secret to try and take back SamCro. This is the LEAST likely prospect.

Segal is Sutter's wife, I could see a shooting, sure, but not her dying off besides, to my aforementioned plotline, it would be much better to resolve that with her being alive than dead

Agree, even in the real world Tara has absolutely buried herself now.

I think it's setting up for a huge shootout, either way, as long as none of the boys gets killed, they are likely to have at least one less problem to deal with, either Galen gets killed, maybe the DA gets killed (i think her character is coming to an end soon anyways), the chinese get wiped out, I can't see Sutter wiping out Clay though, as a driving character, even though his role has been diminished, it's still a driving part of the show.

 

We have been witnessing the transition on Tara into Gemma and now I see Gemma transitioning into a caring mother.

Tara is thinking that the ends justifies the means, but she has become the very person she is trying to get her kids away from. She was even using Wendy and Jax in the same way that Gemma had in the past. If this is truly Hamlet in leather, than we will see he die a tragic/accidental death.

Gemma has found Nero, he is trying to steer her in the right direction. She told him about the guards and the visit to Clay, when she never told Clay or Jax about being raped. She has been confessing her sins to Nero, we now know about JT's death. I think this was more of a way to tell us about it than to setup a future battle between Jax and his mother. I am not sure if we will see her fall in the last season or be one of the sole survivors.

 

Tara is a rank amateur compared to Gemma, i agree with your take on Gemma, maybe she's older and trying to get into heaven now

 

I was under the belief that this is the last season. Am I wrong? That is my reasoning behind the possibility of Gemma dying. Any character can die at the last season, last episode.

 

This is season 6, there will be one more.

If not 2 more. Sutter said multiple things. "I can tell the SAMCRO story in 7 seasons", "there will be 8 seasons", "the prequel might be a blah blah blah", lots of scenarios that only Kurt knows

Tara has been a VP's OL for a while, but shit hit the fan with Clay out of the club.

Ya... I lost count somewhere and thought that we were on season 6 last year.

His season 6 contract was for 3 seasons (6-7-8), so there will either be 7 and a prequel or 8.

At this point, I don't think even Kurt knows because the show evolves as it is written.
They JUST finished filming this season a couple of weeks ago.

 

Because Sutter is not a "mainstream" writer/director, he is not the typical "cookie cutter" type, so not predictable at all. The popularity of SOA could easily push this into multiple more seasons if it were any other director. I like that Sutter is doing things his way, and not caving to the pressure to keep it going on and on. Some shows can be burnt into the ground by the final season. Now what WOULD be interesting is if there were another SOA spin-off that perhaps was based in Belfast, or another part of the US.
