x2, i like the full plate bumper better on the FJ. till i saw gideons truck in person i was not sure how i even liked it on the taco. but IMHO it looks much better in person. maybe the same can be said for the fj hybrid..

I always liked plate bumpers in pics and then I got the BF hybrid when he first started making them just to be different. Turns out that I got exactly what I wanted instead of a plate. I like the tube look. Same reason sliders look worse with filler plates. Same reason a roof rack looks worse with filler plates. Same reason a bed cage or exocage looks so badass. It just looks more offroadish to me. Plate bumpers look good but they have a different feel to me. Take a BF plate vs a hybrid. The plate bumper looks big and bulky and tough and ready to ram some shit. Where as the hybrid looks completely opposite. More like it's just there because no bumper would be stupid. In this case, less is more to me. The hybrid is still just as strong at it's core but without the full size bulk of the plate.

If you took a full-size Chevy and put a pre runner bumper on it, it would look like it's ready to go off-road. If you took the same truck and put a huge plate bumper on it, it would look like it's ready to drive through a building. Not exactly the same concept cause a Tacoma already looks more offroad ready but it's the same idea for me. Different strokes for different folks. That's just how I think

yeah i like the plate bumpers a lot. but seeing the BF hybrid on your truck(not just in pic) i really like it a lot as well. also it’s kinda how i don’t like the ARB bumpers they are way to squire and need to be more rounded off like a BF plate bumper(or one of the other fab guys plate bumpers) ya the arb’s are strong and tested but i just don’t like the looks.

 

Natty light, Keystone light, stuff like that. That's why the frats when they throw keggers get Natty.

I see exactly what your saying. But they have elk and moose and grizzly up here and I think the plate bumper would protect me better than the hybrid. Plus you can go off road with them. Instead of going around the obstacles you just plow them and move them out of the way.

I like Keystone, and Natty's fine for a party when you're just there to get drunk anyways. But, if I'm just gonna sit down with some friends and want to spend a little more, we usually drink Bud Platinum.

 

platinum is ok. i like it. and at like 6%ABV will get you drunk a lot faster than natty or any of the cheap beer.

me if i really am out to get drunk i’ll get a bottle of jack or some shine get you way drunker with less and don’t have to worry about getting sick as much.
