Currently, the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel makes use of a 3.0-liter turbodiesel making 240 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque enabling it to tow 9,200 lbs while achieving 27 MPG combined.

I don't see how he could say that an engine designed to get good enough gas mileage to stay current in 2017 wouldn't sell now. I'm envisioning a diesel getting 35 mpg in 2017. They would sell the hell out of those now, (Especially in a Taco) and either have time to modify it to do even better, or just ride with it until 2020 like they do with powertrains now.

This is my favorite way to transport because it saves room and is safe. The cases are designed to be picked up from the top via chain. You can substitute a standard forklift for the telescoping one if you have a boom attachment.



Seen so many close calls from improper handling in my days I'm amazed I never saw anyone die. Ive seen so many people sliced open I lost count of the incidents. I have also personally tipped over thousands of dollars in glass due to improper procedures

1/4" = 3lbs per sqft
3/8" = 5lbs per sqft
1/2" = 6.5lbs per sqft
5/8" = 8.1lbs per sqft
3/4" = 9.8lbs per sqft

Building some doors this week out of 3/4" that are 60" x 120". Glass itself is 490# without the hardware. When completed a child will be able to open them up with about 8# of force.

with some of what ive had to do, i would have ripped the damn thing out and put it in my house if my neighbors put in a door that big.... it would have saved a lot of trouble for us in the long run

 

Oh and also, some kid might be able to open a 60x120 door, but they will turn into a beach ball when the wind blows that door shut.

 

The glass we have is usually palletized a lot better. We had to get these into box trucks so lifting them wasn't an option. We muscles them in. Strapped to the walls. Screwed 2x4s to the floor of the truck to keep them from sliding. So far none have shifted or came undone. The last 4 went out last night so in about an hour or so we will know of all of them made it.
