Yeah I googled it after I asked. It is higher than federal but only by 10 cents. haha

It said WY is still $5.15. I don't understand how they are still under federal. Did they just tell the government fuck you? haha There were like 3 or 4 states that are still under the federal limit.
    He bought a diesel.

Idaho was $5.15 and then they bumped it up to $7.15 when the feds raised it a few years back.

i always figured it was cause i never worked 40 hours a week so it was part time considered..Maybe thats how?

then again, most ranch hands make 6.50 and hour too i think..but work 12-14 hour days..

WY doesn't have any daily/weekly hour limits, nor does ID for that matter. When I was browsing that list, some states have laws that requires employers to pay time and a half for poeple that work more than 8 hours a day and/or 40 hours in a week.

I know a lot of places here will pay time and a half for anything over 40 hours in a week, but some don't. Must be more of a courtesy thing. Or like in walmart's case probably a company wide policy that fits into all state and federal regulations.

I made $3.25 an hour washing dishes at a restaurant my first job. The summer before I joined the Army I made about $6 an hour helping on my grandpa's farm and helping one of his friends build a house and garage. I worked from sunrise to sunset Monday thru Saturday. Made good money though for a high school student. haha

In the Army I make like $15 an hour on drill weekend but spend a lot of that in gas... and I make like $3.50 an hour during my 2 weeks of AT... If you don't count sleep I make like $4.75 an hour. haha

Hahah that's sucks ass dude. And minimum wage is minimum wage, even if you are part time. Unless the bulk of your income is tips, then of course it's less.

I know I can get time and a half for working. Over 40, but I'll never get to 40. I just don't work that much. Still get holiday pay tho

Walmart will flat out fire your ass if you go over your 40 causing them to pay you time and a half, unless it is pre-approved but that is super super rare. haha They are all about cutting expenses.

I worked there for a year and a half.
I saw a lot of states are looking to raise it to $10/hr in the next couple years. I think Washington has the highest right now at like $9.50/hour or so. Oregon was 2nd or 3rd at just shy of $9/hr.

soooooo you in theory pay more taxes than a Canadian at your tax bracket.....

kind of crazy to know, I lose 38.9% every cheque to taxes, around 2% to benefits and another 5% to my retirement fund

If I wasnt married I would see around 10k a year in tax returns lol

ha! tipping a projectionist?? hahaha yea right. I bet no one even thinks about the projectionist..haha

picking coffee? 300 a day? sounds like lawn work! my kinda job!

If i had REALLY gotten serious about lawns..i could have done 10-15 a day myself..and made 300+ a day too..

can't imagine what it would be like on rain days though when you can't mow..shit that would suck.

15 an hour for mcdonalds? haha my best friend in HS was a manager there. He hated it. But paid pretty well actually.

something about how they were demanding higher wages
for an unskilled entry level shit job
because "it's impossible to live off a minimum wage salary!"

but kona coffee's taken a big hit because of a beetle infestation, so my possible $300 a day is now more than $600- I used to get .75 a lb, now it's $2.10

wait what the fuck am i doing here. haha
