If you find a place that does Toyota Rent-a-Car, they should be able to get you whatever rental you want. Just tell them you're looking at the possibility of buying one.

 

Well guys...I think as of early yesterday morning, I am officially no longer a tacoma owner....

I'll be going today to see the truck but from what I'm told and what happened, after knocking over a telephone pole and then still going and slamming into a gas station steel sign, it is no more....

Don't drink and drive kids.

Just a swollen shut eye, facial lacerations from the mouth to chin, bruising if whole upper body and knee.

Just got back from the yard to see the carnage....

Thanks guys but it wasn't me driving, it was my mom. Made a stupid choice and she is hurting for it.

I got a lot off of it today but as far as suspension and wheel and tires, I have to wait till the insurance estimate. It's got full coverage. If they low ball it, I can keep it and part it out.

Traffic investigator tried to tell me she was doing 80+ I told him with all due respect, I built the truck, it won't go that fast. Then he tried to accuse me of having illegal modifications. But I don't see how the truck jumped a curb, knock over a solid wooden telephone and then still traveled 150+ feet and then slam into a gas station sign. She doesn't remember a thing.

 

What modifications is he trying to say are illegal?

I'm not really sure what angle he was trying to get at. Saying something about modifying the speedometer. I then proceeded to tell him I had a scanguage on the dash to reflect the accurate speed with the offset for tires. He claimed to not see it.

They do.... about 7 days out of the year on average require it.
My 02 was a snowbird trade in and it was in D.C. its whole life before I got it, rust isn't bad at all. Cross your fingers and get it coated....
