My wife's Camry does this as well. The manual says it's a dealer-programmable feature on the Camry (Off, 30 secs., 60 secs., 2 minutes), but I'm not sure if it's the same on the Tacoma.

Someone should make a list of all these weird little features, lol. It took me a while to realize that if you unlock the passenger door w/ key, it unlocks the driver side too. The driver side only unlocks the driver side. So if you need to get something out of the passenger side you have to remember to lock both after you're done.

Actually things like this are personal choices and above your pay grade not to mention none of your business. If it is minor or acceptable for you that is fine but how another feels about it for themselves does not concern you. :D

This happens because you don't have a door switch on your tonneau cover or tailgate. I'm guessing if you tied a door switch into your tailgate, your rig would not automatically lock again. It would be just like opening a door, and not automatically relock.

I can see this being annoying, but until pop-n-lock also taps into your dome switch, this will be normal. (I assume the dome light door switch is what tells your auto locks to not re-lock the truck since a door was not opened.)

Your post is a little rude to a respected member here, what is even more surprising, it is coming fron a guy who is spouting religious babble in a signature.

If I unlock it with the key, not the clicker, they stay unlocked on mine.

Normal. Toyota has been at this for a long time... I had a 1997 Lexus LS400 that did that.

none to date...Yet, Well sold the 07 and purchased a 2014. I don't know what you could do to this.
I have a 2014 and didn't take notice if it locks or not. When I leave the vehicle I lock it, any other time the keys are in it.

It's the little button on passenger door armrest...locks both doors...problem solved. That's what I do anyway.

Know what you mean...but let's not get carried away here.

I first noticed this feature last night when I had to wait for what seemed forever for some doofus to try to back his SUV out of the stall next to me before getting in.

Log in to Tacoma World this morning and it is the first thread on the list. Weird...
