Calm down! lol. Safety has to come first before anything. It's not Nascar trying to give ANYONE a championship. It's just the way it goes sometimes.

What bothers me is something that I hadn't heard about until tonight. That is that when Dillion comes to Cup next year, and drives for Childress, he will be driving the #3. Childress SWORE that he would never put another driver into a car with that number on it. Going back on his word there. I now have lost my respect for that man.

And Dillon said that Earnhardt isn't the one that made the #3 famous. I hope he never wins a race.

Jr gave his blessing for him to drive the #3 if that means anything.

Yea I don't agree with it either, I feel it's sacred just from what he has done for and in NASCAR. Childress wouldn't do it if Jr. and the family wasn't ok with it, Childress knew Earnhardt better than most so I can't argue with it that much.

They have to reuse the number 3. It's fine with me. I hope to see her win again and I'll be the big ugly guy crying like a baby when it happens. I know Dale would insist it's no problem and never has been. 3 rides, again.

I am not too much upset that the number is being reused. What bothers me is the shit way Childress has been running his team. Bringing in his grandkids as drivers and treating his veteran drivers like crap. THAT is what pisses me off the most. That punk Dillon doesn't deserve to have that number in Cup. Also, for him to say that Earhardt would be nothing without Childress, they BOTH would have had a struggle for sure. Dale Sr brought Nascar to what is has become over the years. To say that Dale didn't make the number 3 famous, if that is in fact what Dillon said, will really hurt him when he gets to cup because that is a total bullshit lie! Most all of the drivers loved and respected Dale. Anyone badmouthing him is going to get no support from the other drivers.

I'm sorry. I'm not keeping up on what's going on down there. I believe it's called PTSD and its fucked everyone up. At the end of the day it was what it was. Dale is a Legend. People are people and the trauma of Dales loss is still beyond anything anyone ( I'm sure Childress is near the top of the list) can deal with (I'm a nobody and I've been a mess since Dales passing) Dale wouldn't give a shit what anyone says. Go out and prove it.

Again, not knowing what's been said or the context of any statements I support Richard Childress 100% It's been a fucking nightmare. Again, PTSD can make people say and do some fucked up things (ask me how I know)

Nascar did give it to Dillon. That was a hell of a wreck and they needed time to clean up so instead of wasting, what was it 12 laps, under caution running through pit lane they should have red flagged the race for clean up. The officials should never determine the outcome of a sporting event, whether stick and ball or nascar. Nascar definitely effected the outcome. Redflag it and let the racers race

The story about the three coming back up has been around for awhile and whether JR gave his blessings or not it is coming.

Hmmm didn't Dale jr win 2 championships and a shit load of races driving the AC Delco #3 in the Busch series ? Maybe that slipped Dillions mind.

And I don't think jr even really liked driving the 3 after his farther died, I remember in the last Busch/Nationwide race he drove it in he won and after the race said.. As much fun as it is to drive it that would be the last time he would.

And as far as Dillion driving it.. as long as it doesn't look like this im all good.. And besides he's going to suck just like his brother :D
