My Jeep with, oh yeah it's already linked and a super... Oh wait the LT4 is already pushing 480, doesn't need a supercharger. Sorry, just felt like being a DB.

    Too many to list now.
Let Billy at brute force fab build you some killer bumpers, I'll get you a roof top tent, snorkel, and as many off road light bars as you desire. There's a vendor for everything on here. I have a hand in a bit myself. :)

Brute force fab makes (IMO) the best constructed and best looking bumper we can get for our trucks. As far as a winch you don't here about them failing all that often unless you get something other than a Warn or a Smittybilt.

For suspension I'd look into Icons or Kings, but if you're looking to do something totally unique, I'd ask jerry at BAMF about linking the rear and doing ORI's on all four corners.

Im just telling what Id really enjoy seeing :)

A supercharger is totally worth it... Especially if you have money coming out your ears

I wouldn't go LT on this build. Won't be worth it unless he does the rear and then he has no bed space. Plus LT has more parts that need maintenance and replacing.
Go with solid MT and armor.

This seems like sound advice, thanks. I gather that the long travel gear is for when you really want to make it fly, is that right? I don't drive that fast so the medium travel and armor does look like the way to go, especially if I'd have to encroach on the bed space.

What can you do with a snorkel that you can't without? Seems to me the truck would be floating before the water got up to the air intake.

    Thanks

Yeah this is correct. IMO, to do LT the proper way, you really have to do way too much. Gusset everything, box the frame, cut the bed for hoops, ect....

3 link solid axle swap on a brand new Tacoma, if you are looking to blow a load of money.

Take deep water crossings...You would be surprised what this little truck can do. Only thing is, when doing a lot of water crossings, there is a lot more maintance to be done....

Helps cut the amount of dust getting to your air filter. Stock intake is only about a foot or less above the top of your right front tire as well.

I would say no for his needs. He claims he isn't going to be doing any crazy rock crawling or hardcore wheeling. No really need IMO for what he plans on using it for.

My Taco is a 95.5 but the air intake is in the same place. I've had water over the hood many times, so the snorkel was a must for me.

The way I look at it, if you're in there and making all of these changes you might as well. IMO
