    No shit? That surprises me.

Obviously the general public must buy 20 automatics for every stick, but what is the ratio with the enthusiasts on this board? Is this a point of major controversy or do most people agree auto is better?

I think that with the manual there is a larger training curve to drive off road than with an auto. I think the auto is thought to be stronger because it doesn't get abused as much as the manual; sheer nature of the beast with this one...

Like I told my wife! If I had the chedder, everything I wanted would be installed before I drove the truck home lol. I like the expo look on tacomas. so Im voting towards armor, plate bumbers with tire swing out

Buddy and I have same performance mods and his clutch just shit the bed on his 2012.....
My 06 auto is still doing ok with 75k on it and driven very hard at times.

As for the supercharger comments I've seen in the thread, I must ask 1 thing.

Have any of u saying he should pass on the blower ever driven a blown Tacoma with a lift, large tires, and armor?
Most notably passing, getting on a freeway with short ramp, having to make a decision to slam on brakes and risk getting rear ended vs stomping the gas to avoid a swerving driver texting while on a two lane highway?

Compare that to a n/a Tacoma with the same armor and large tires.......

What's wrong with easily pushing another 70hp or more while keeping your warranty?
If he's got the money, why not?

Well I was in my 30's before I owned an automatic tranny and have been 4-wheeling since before I was old enough to have a license so I think I will just go ahead and keep the manual.

Good point on the blower. I'm gonna do it.

Does anyone make a stronger aftermarket clutch?
