For the most part, yes. I also prepare for scenarios I can't imagine since that's what likely happen if anything ever does and practicing to make your groups smaller is never a bad thing.

I dig Froglube also. Great CLP. Smells good too, so it doesn't piss off the wife. I don't live in a cold climate though, but as long as you don't let it sit in snow/ice it should still perform just fine.

    Nice lineup.

Did you go to the outdoor range in Angeles (forgot what it was called)? Ever been to Oaktree in Valencia? How would you compare the two?

Yup, i went to the outdoor range at Angeles Crest Shooting Range. I've never been to Oaktree, but Angeles Crest is my favorite next to going to BLM land. Free targets, gun stands, plenty of steel, free clay launcher use if you bring your own clay, free coffee, fairly priced range legal ammo, and friendly staff.

There were three AR-15s and one AR-10, so we were making quite a racket in middle of nowhere. I think we were in Oregon, but maybe not. My AR has a Smith and Wesson lower, BCM mid length upper with 16" hammer forged barrel, Magpul furniture, and Aimpoint PRO. My Kimber Custom II is somewhere in the bed amongst the Budweiser and ammunition.

Lol did you pick up that DD handguard off of Midway? I saw it on sale for pretty cheap so I had to snag one for my build as well.

Did you paint it yourself? If so, what paint and what's the process? Been wanting to do something like this to my 12g.

Did a rustoleum paint job with primer, base and clear (non-gloss, dull clear coat), with their multi-color textured Desert Bisque spray as the base coat:

Did a little baking in the oven and it should hold up pretty well. 350 degrees then turn the oven off. Plop the dry-to-touch rifle in there for half an hour or so. Make sure the oven is OFF. kind of like the BHLM mod.

Yep! Couldn't pass up $105 for a DD rail.

Been putting together another 10/22. This is a 1996 model, 18" bull barrel, Tactical Solutions extended mag release, Power Custom Competition Extended Bolt Handle, Bolt buffer, and sent the trigger to Brimstone for bolt release mod and 2.5 lb trigger job. I was going to buy the parts and do the trigger myself but for what the hammer alone cost ( $35 ), Brimstone did the whole job for the same price plus shipping so I have $44 in the trigger job. All I need now is a good scope to replace the Simmons. I'm thinking about the Vortex Crossfire 4-12X50. BTW, if you have a 10/22 and hate the trigger, check out http://brimstonegunsmithing.com/ruger-1022-1/ , I'm really happy with the way the trigger turned out.

Great stuff, the only negative I could say is if you put it on a gun you don't shoot often, it gets a little gummy.
