    Both sides. But butter on the bread first. I've been eating more almond butter than peanut butter these days, sits in the stomach a bit better.

    Had a babysitter from Canada that showed me the butter thing a LONG time ago when I was a wee lad. Never lost the taste for it.

    Some jelly is frequently essential but I look at it as just a condiment.
