The kit lens on the 3N is a 16-50 power zoom. I quite like it EXCEPT for the power zoom part. It doesn't feel natural compared to other lenses, obviously, but not horrible.

The 16mp sensor in the 5R and 6 (and I think the 3N) is actually the exact same sensor out of a D7000.

Video capabilities on it are phenomenal as well. Not just good "for it's size" but straight up good. It's a great little camera.

Only major upside to the other is the ability to change lenses and a bigger sensor obviously. Oh, and it's cheaper ha

    Nice!

I've walked around the Malls here in Lincoln and the one in my hometown without getting hassled. That is really lame. I don't really get their logic. Did you try and stay at all or just comply and not deal with it? Just curious haha

I'm not going to lie, I would have been very tempted to (kindly and tactfully) ask them why. I would have been respectful and calm, but just been like, yeah, man, no problem, I'm totally fine with that, but before I go, I'm just going to need to know exactly why I must and what rule it is that I am breaking . . .

yea..i didn't care that much i guess.. got the shot i really wanted in the spur of the moment..figured there was more to been seen that day..plus was like only my 2nd week in st louis haha

shoulda asked more though..i mean..the whole camera phone thing kinda would defeat anything they could say about mine..other then maybe zoom lenses..but not like mine is a big zoom one anyways..

This is like one of those internet video scenarios in the making. You can't have that scary big black camera in here, but if it's cute and little and colorful you're fine haha

    Corporate Policy...

I've been told not to shoot at various locations on my school's campus (dining areas) due to a corporate policy on no photography unless I was supervised by someone

when i worked for Hot Topic and Wet Seal, i had to go and take shots of the stores and would get hassled by security... they left me alone once they verified with the companies, but they give you the whole speech about private property and they have the right to ask you not to take photos in the mall... they tend to reserve that card for folks they feel are taking stock or commercial shots, etc...

So some of you guys have copyright watermarks on your photos, are there rules for that or can you just make it up? I'm not sure how to do it, but one of my friends told me that he has a program that automatically adds the copyright to all of his photos (I think when he uploads them to his computer), is that what you guys do?

yea Light Room does it for you. You just pick a font and what you want it to say and position and opacity and color..yada yada..

its nice to add to label your own work in case it shows up somewhere else..or court cases..but i seriously doubt any of us will have that big an issue with it..

So that comes with Photoshop? Just did a quick google search and it seems like it might come with it as well as separately.
I really need to get photoshop...

There are no legal hoops that you have to jump to add a copyright, right?
