Hey everyone. I bought my stainless N-Fabs a while back b/c it seemed that everyone had the black and I wanted something different. Also a big reason I went with stainless is b/c my rear bumper and front grill surround are chrome.

My dilemma now is that I often waiver back and forth about the stainless. One day I think it looks great and then the next I think that my truck would look better with black. With my blacked out windows, door handles, bed rail protectors, and rims(at least half of them) being black I am sure black N-fabs would look great. The thing I am not sure about is that if I went with black, will it look weird with the chrome rear bumper and front grill?

Color matching or getting a new rear bumper isn't really an option financially. If I went with black N-fabs, I would just get a local place to powder coat them. PLease let me know what ya'll think.

Do the stainless clash with the truck the way I have it now?
Keep them the way they are or go black? Thanks in advance

yeah it doesn't look bad at all, but if you find yourself wanting them to be black more each day then I would go ahead and get them powder coated.

I've been debating nerfs for my truck....but i'd always knew that i would get black if i decided to get some.........maybe when you get the funds to color match the bumpers, then you can black out the steps......but until then, your truck looks pretty sick now.

Stainless holds up over winter driving.
    Black powder coat doesn't.

Course if you live in Texas this is a moot point.

I prefer black, but it's not practical here in Canada.

You'll get 100 differing opinions...yours is the only one that matters. Screw what everyone else thinks about YOUR truck...if you're happy, then peachy.

Your truck looks great now, but I agree and probably would have gone black if it where my decision in the first place.

I think if you go black the little chrome left (grill and bumper) will help to tie in the chrome/polished on the wheels.

X2. But I think black would look good IMO. But then again my truck has a BnW theme so I like black anyways. Just do what you think looks best.;)

He's specifically asking what other people think to help him in his decision. Nothing wrong with that . . .

I don't think they look bad on your truck but I'm a chrome hater myself. :D My opinion would be to start the slow tranformation to the dark side.

I'm also getting ready to buy a pair of the N-Fabs (3" tube). Black or the truck color would be better looking in my opinion. Powdercoating (wrinkle black finish) the SS is also a good idea then you'll have nerf's that won't rust and look great. I would do exactly this except I prefer the 3" tube vs the 2" . SS can only be ordered with the 2" tube.

Hmmm...I'm a big Black and SWB fan...but I really like the looks of your truck to be honest man...it looks different...sad to say but most of the SWB trucks look the same. Take mine for example... :anonymous:
