My teacher literally gives us a full quiz the day after teaching us something and acts appalled when half the class fails it

Rightfully so. You should be hitting the books and not TW. Hard pill to swallow at your age but that's the nature of the beast. TW will always be here, your high school records can not be changed once it is all over.

At some point teachers do stop holding your hand and make it your responsibility to make an effort to learn on your own

Kids and teachers are the problem.

My job is to travel around the country installing the product I work on that helps kids learn to read. Typically I work with HS students.

Both kids and teachers suck, but typically the kids are the fuck heads.

For example, I walked in on 2 kids shooting craps in the bathroom *under the pisser out of all things* and they tried to fight me and told me not to snitch. Telling a 15 year old kid you will fuck him up 9 ways from Tuesday isn't fun to do when you are an adult with a career. Total fuck head teens.

I've also walked into a classroom where the teacher was letting the girls in class have a 'twerking' contest. This is the first time I've seen twerking and it's the fucking dumbest thing I've ever seen. The kids are fucking stupid for doing it, the teacher is even worse for allowing it in her classroom. Filthy skanky teenage whore's.

You have a mix of both, however kids these days are very rude and inconsiderate of their elders. Why, because you can't beat the fuck out of your kids like you could back in the 70's-80's. Now everyone calls the cops, or CPS if you lay a hand on your kid. And trust me, more kids, especially teens, need their asses handed to them on a regular basis by adults. It makes me sick to see what kids are like to adults these days.

You have a mix, teachers that are sick of the bullshit and quit caring, and kids that are total disrespectful fuck heads. Take your pick.

They're called teachers for a reason

Also. Important edit. I for one absolutely hate my generation of kids. My parents brought me up to respect adults and women. My dad grew up in the Deep South. If anyone knows about respect it's him, and I have been told that I take after him very well. I like the generation that my dad was brought up in because of the respect they were tought. Not the shitheads I go to school with every day.

Aaaaand that's why my mom quit teaching this year. Said she couldn't take the shithead kids anymore and it took all of her angry, hard headed, Irish strength not to back hand some of them.
