I just ordered the Road Armor front bumper and have since learned I need to price out lights for it that cost almost as much as the bumper...

I need 4 Dually D2s for the bumper, I'd really like to keep the costs down but still fill the holes in the bumper...

Duallys will be cheaper, but you wont get as much light output. Pm inbound.

You get what you pay for, on both ends of the spectrum.

Can you shoot over a price quote for the Dually and also the D2 in driving and spot pattern. Anything other than housing different in the marine version?

The marine version is sealed a bit better, but ultimately the biggest thing is the resistance to saltwater that the regular versions dont have. Pm inbound

Although I haven't received my items, I wanted to take the time to post a quick note on my dealings with benbacher so far. Excellent communicator and replies quickly once he is up (Alaska Time). He is a stand up guy who will do everything he can to give you the best deal. I placed a LARGE order and had no qualms dropping the $ up front.

I won't blow smoke, I am a Amazon Prime guy and love them. I did see a few items slightly less than the per item cost through this thread, but his professionalism, honesty, quick answers to my questions and personalized feel to a totally electronic transaction sold me. So much I bought more and threw in some extra $ for him. Already planning my next order for Christmas Presents.

Now just anxiously waiting for the delivery.

    Sincerely, THANKS Ben.

 Thank you for the kind words, means a lot to me to be able to help people out in this capacity. As far as Amazon is concerned, they DO have better prices, but what you lose is far worse than having to pay a couple extra bucks. Rigid won't warranty any of those products bought from them. Most of them are being shut down one by one (I've aided Rigid in shutting one down myself), because their prices and business ethics do not meet the high standards Rigid has. Unfortunately it's a 'buyer beware' situation froma anyone who isn't an authorized dealer.

If I could afford then I would have gotten a Rigid bar. Just can't justify that kind of cash for a light bar right now. Though I might be calling you soon for a set of fogs

With RIs fog lights are they a strictly horizontal light? Hella 550s would produce a flat side to side light you mounted them correctly, but if you rotated them 90 degrees the light went up and down in a line. Is this the same with RIs fogs?

Depends on the beam pattern I'd guess. The driving lens is oval shaped, which means turning it 90 degrees will affect the way the light is thrown. Spots and floods I don't believe have that same affect but a wide lens might be vertical if flipped. What are you trying to achieve? Might help me figure out what would suit you best.

Just wondering how they do their lights. I've already decided on Amber spots for my fog lights. I think they will cut through the fog better

That they will. Quite a long reach in either D2 or dually.

Thanks for the reply. So what is the difference in terms of price?

Now I'm trying to decide what set to get. I have an avid light bar without mounting tabs. I would like to get a dually setup (pair) but I am unsure of which model. I would use them in low light situations when I get out of the city or need the road (and surroundings) lit up. I like the reach of the driving but I also like the idea of a wide beam to catch objects on the edge of the roadway. Ive done some reading and it appears the D2 is supposedly the best of both worlds. Can you explain to an LED layman what RI has and what might be my best option?

    Here are the bullet points:

    - LIFETIME WARRANTY: Rigid puts an amazing amount of resource into the design and fabrication of these lights, making them the sturdiest lights or any electronic device (nokia 6800 aside) on the market today. That being said there is no reason you should ever break one. I saw a picture the other day of a jeep that had rolled and the light bar was what ultimately stopped its momentum. It was enough to bend the light about 20 degrees, and it still worked. If I'm not mistaken Rigid replaced that light for him. My distributor has had Rigid lights on his F250's bumper for 7 years and drove upwards of 150,000 miles and still hasn't hardly a chip in any of the bars he has on there. The times i have seen lights come back it has been for something catastrophic, never for day to day use.

    - Rigid isn't going anywhere. We are in the top 500 companies in the USA right now, and thats not changing anytime soon. If you guys knew half of the stuff that I got to see and be on the inside loop on, you'd never buy anything else. Ever. You warranty doesn't run the risk of the company you need to honor it not being there when you need them. There are only a few games in town that can say that. Most of these led Manufacturers are going under their first two years. Not the case with Rigid. We own 70% of the LED market and RISING.

    - They're the best! Can't overstate this enough. But Rigid will outperform any other LED light on the market. Hands down. The side by side comparisons between Rigid and VisionX are comical. We took a 50" Vision X and had to compare it to our 30" to make it fair, and Rigid still won.

    - You get to buy from me! I've been around this site a long while, and have built a reputation of being reliable and helpful. I got into this business so that we could share my good fortune and all have the best products on the planet. I may not carry the cheapest stuff, but I do carry the stuff I use on my personal vehicle, because I believe it is the best product.

...seriously though. Hands down the most awesome, strong and reliable lights I have come across. I want nothing else, you pay for what you get, and that is a quality product with Rigid.

Planning on getting a couple of D2's, but can't decide on which version to get. I'd like something that will reach far, but would still like them to work as fogs also. I'm thinking the driving beam might be best for me. Opinions?

Driving. Its the best for fogs by far. You still get the depth, but you gain a lot of width and certainly a lot more clarity than you're used to.
