Morning, everyone! Another weekend blasts by and I'm not sure where the time went. Back to work.

Welcome, Rick!! I'm also an interloper here - still have a year+ to become "official" but it's a welcoming group of folks here.

Hi Paul, looks like it was a good weekend for both of us...Steel Curtain beat the lions(didn't like the uniforms..looked like a bunch od bees on the field) and the Eagles beat Washington...

And I thought it was just me Sue...I start looking at something and jump to another site and 2 hours later I forgot what I was originally looking for.

Welcome to "THE THREAD" Great conversation and company. Enjoy.

I know the feeling Mark, I was at my son's house working all weekend and here it is Monday already.. Happy Monday

Great news,,I turn 65 on Jan. 8, 014.. Just in time for the new medicare rules..Any income other then SS. is now on the books for medicare co- pays. The more you have the more you pay. Its like the boomer fucking never stops.. I would have been better off to sit on the porch and ate off food stamps all my life.... Can you guess they get everything free with no co pays. This is getting old,,,, If I was just born 9 days sooner I would be under the old rules:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I think this is the story of our lives. We have always gotten the shaft. Unfortunately we are the only generation in this country that has any money.

Do you have a link to a site that has the changes in an easy to understand format?

It was a face to face in the office. I dont think they want everyone to know about it. I had sent in my paperwork about a Mo. ago so I got a call to come in and fill out my NEW paper work this week so went in for the nut kicking today. Short of it is anything simi big & you have a lil $ you now have to co-pay. I was watching his lips move but was also seeing Charles Whitman shining his boots in the tower in 1966 just before, :(. He cracked.
IF YOU LOOK AROUND YOU MIGHT FIND SOME THING ON THE NEW CO PAYS . I NOT LOOKING FOR now,,

Welcome Richard. As you can see, we banter about a lot of thing, not the least of which is politics. No political discussions in Canada, eh, Richard? Health care is the biggest issue here in the states. What could have been a good thing of all, turned into a real fiasco when a new health care bill was pushed through without planning, discussion and agreement between both major political parties here in the States. You know Jim, I always thought that when I went to the doctor and he was checking the ole prostate that in fact he was stretching the ole you know for the f*#kin' we would be getting from our own Gov't. that we have been supporting all our lives. At least the doctor used some K-Y where the gov't. doesn't!!! Damn now you got me on another rant and I'll be damned if I can figure out why my smilies don't work!!!! :-(

    Evening all:
Just got back from the river and am catching up on posts.
Hey you old guys, (boomers), that did things right. Time to share the wealth :bucket:ANTY UP!!
    SOMEBODY GOTS TO PAY!
Jim hit it on the head. When you can sit at home, never worked, and have it better than someone working, or worked all their life, something's wrong.
The BS seemed to start in 2008. Lets see, 1946 + 62=2008. NAW; just a coincidence!

    Now to the good:
The young guy and I hit the river and landed 28 walleyes. The limit is 3, so we kept 6 of them. The largest is 25 3/4". :yay:

I still have probably 6 years until I start taking SS and then have Tri-Care as my back up to Medicare....assuming it all still exists by then.

Remember that with our government, bonus is an active verb.
