I should say, that is the way it was on my 11. I think I want to do a different route for the 12, I am going to run a 2 ga from the battery to behind the rear seat and set a fuse block and put another fuse block under the hood.

you already have one fuse box inside the cab. no different adding another.

grounded it right behind the rear seats where it's mounted. onoly took about a foot of cable.

i can't remember. either a seat bolt, or just a bolt that holds the body together.

also remember to knock off the paint wherever you are grounding. a structurally sound connection does no good if it's govered in paint.

i don't like them, but this is one case where a riv-nut could be usefull.

Do you know if I can bridge 8 guage amp wire to a splitter block to another amp or do I need to move to like 0 guage. My brother in law offered me amp so I can do my door speakers.

    Yup.

Anything in your truck will burn if you get it hot enough. I once watched a Suburban melt down to the frame while burning off the paint on the cars next to it

how big is your amp? 8 guage is pretty small. i think i'm running 2 guage to my single 1000w amp. it measures closer to 3 guage though.....

i had a small fire under my truck when i was welding on my sliders. the rear diff breather hose was about an inch off of the inside of the frame rail and still caught fire from the heat from the welder on the other side of the frame.

I currently only have a 500w 175 rms kenwood for my 10 inch sub. So the 8 was the largest I could run to the terminal on the amp.
