Eh, I've had a truck loan (installment loan), personal loans (also installment loans) which yield credit scores to go up to the 700s but once I started to manage 3 credit cards (revolving loans) my score went to the 800s.

That's where I'm trying to get mine. When I first got the card I was in the 780 range. Haven't checked it in a while.

I went to this fancy local place here (Broadmoor Hotel) and I saw a person buying something using a black visa or whatever it is. I was jelly.

My only credit card is a Military star card. It only works at the BX and gas station. I pay it off every month, a real easy way to gain credit for me without putting myself at risk.

Now that I've got credit though it's a lot easier for me to use Paypal's bill me later, hasn't hurt me yet though.

I'm getting raped on my interest rate on my vehicle loan. I had no credit at the time....

Am I thinking of the right color? It's the one where you have to be mega rich to have.

    .. 21?
Spray paint the one you got black, problem solved.
This may or may not be different for Navy, but I have a shell FCU and a JSCFUC account, the longer you are in good standing with them the better. They rely on how much you are putting in the account and if you have missed any payments, the amount of money owed on your CC's (I usually keep a 10% balance on all mine and make a payment on them a week before it's due). To shorten it up, I walked in and got a $5k personal loan without a credit check being performed. And I'm friends with the loan officer.
    DB.
What you think is a good score and what I think is a good score would be 2 different numbers, no?

If I got a real credit card I'd feel like it wouldn't go over well... Haha

Although is would be nice to have in an emergency situation. But that's also why I try to keep a couple thousand somewhere at all times.

Yeah, probably would be a good idea. Plus if I refinance I would have put solely under my name instead of being cosigned with my mother.
