Hopefully ya can make it out.
Weddings are awesome, planning them is a different story... so I've been told :D

We'll do the meet time at 10AM. Doesn't really matter as long as we get out there by 11AM or so, that'll give us 5-6 hours of good wheeling/dicking around

I'll throw ya on the maybe list

It's looking dry the rest if the week at this point so no new snow. The going should be easier than last week.

I'm most likely out. Sunday is my only day and I'm not even 100% sure I'd be available on that day. It does look like there will be a bit of a melt-off. I've been getting mild flood advisories and looking at the NOAA forecast:

.THURSDAY NIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY. FREEZING LEVEL NEAR 3500 FEET.
.FRIDAY...MOSTLY SUNNY. FREEZING LEVEL NEAR 5000 FEET.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY. FREEZING LEVEL NEAR 7500 FEET.
.SATURDAY...MOSTLY SUNNY. FREEZING LEVEL NEAR 9000 FEET.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY. FREEZING LEVEL NEAR 10500 FEET.
.SUNDAY...PARTLY SUNNY. FREEZING LEVEL NEAR 11000 FEET.

    Got it

    ...I will eat someone.

Not real experienced in the air down wheeling, but new Duratracs, my lift and a moderate knowledge of regular wheeling should allow me to hold my own. I don't think any SAR party is gonna find us over a smoky campfire gnawing on human body parts

I meant Duratracs are supposed to be REALLY good in the snow (aside from their snow rating). I've been wheeling before many times, but haven't really dove into the whole airing down to single digit PSI w/ snow & sand.

    Clear as mud? :)

Makes more sense! Ha, we haven't met, so I have no idea what basis to go off of, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the mindset of "I've got stuff, so I'll be fine!" That always seems to get you in more trouble!

I have 265 75 r16 duratracs C load, was at 15 psi, so they were decently squishy, rear chains, judicious on the throttle.... and I was still having problems heh heh. Even after I went down to 6 psi it was tough going.

I need to test fit my chains on the front tires and make sure they clear everything, chains on the front could have been helpful.

They are a worn a little bit so after this trip I am already trying to decide between 255/85 km2s or 235/86 Destination MTs.... I need some more tread than the duratracs can provide!

I have wheeled in snow before but it was east coast snow, this pacific NW stuff is a whole different animal, but it was a good learning experience non the less.

    Btw - @jeverich

Jealous of those photos... I really wish I had the free time to go on a bug out trip like that. Makes me miss my old Montana stompin grounds.

What happened with the knee?? How did it get infected?

How's that saying go? If a tree falls in the forest next to two dudes getting it on, does anybody hear it?

Thanks! Think I'm going to make a trip back to Rhode Island, then tour the SW..

Started with a couple of ingrown hairs that got a little nasty.. They healed up, then came the infection a few days later. Not fun.
