oh houston, you never fail to produce...

watching a morbidly obese, probably homeless or very close to it, black man "walk*" down the street while eating fried chicken as only velociraptor could. how he has fingers still, no one knows.

*a loosely defined term meaning that he was upright on two legs making forward progress. but then again....

That sucked big time! About 8 or 10 years ago I went to look at reenlisting. Well, it was a change because I had 8 years in the Marines, and I was out of the age and TIS time to reenlist there, so I went lateral for Army. Not only were they going to let me keep full rank, but after all was said and done I was looking at almost $36k in sign on bonuses over 3 years. (12k when I shipped, then 12k on anniversary date for the next 2) The only thing that kept me out was a medical call. Because I had a history of kidney stones they did an xray. Found one stone in the left kidney and they wouldn't give me a waiver. Something to the tune of "battlefield extraction medical condition". The skinny was that if the stone were to ever come loose, and I were deployed, I would be required to be extracted to a major medical center for treatment. I told them that at this point, I just piss them out. Still was a no-go. Sucked too because I was looking at going MP. I even had my orders cut pending the medical outcome (At that time, they were desperate for bodies) and was going to go to Ft Leonard Wood for Warrior school, then MP school, and hopefully off to Ft Hood. Ah well. That was years ago, but I was quite disappointed.

I got out in 2003 and never looked back...

However, I did go back to Afghanistan as a civilian pilot for the Army and did 333 DIC straight for the tax benefits. Can you say $$$,$$$$. Four years of that shit and I would have been a bonafide millionaire. Wife on the other hand said "leave again and I leave" so here I am...

that's how it goes out there. i have friends that have been over there for 7-10 years. one was my old boss who HAD to stay out there because he paid for all of everyone's bill's, including his daughters tuition and housing because she didn't want to work and his wife's business which lost over 50k a year for 3, now 4 years...

the other his wife left him when he was in the navy, and now that he has $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (yes, each dollar sign is one digit place in his bank account) he's looking at buying a private island and a plane....

Let me know if he's looking for a pilot...

I've flown everything from a Boeing 747-400 all the way to a 2 seater Cessna.

Even if they combined their money and net worth it wouldn't be anything close to 100 trillion dollars.
