I can try. My issue is that I am waiting for the parts to arrive. the orb fittings and oil should be at my house tomorrow, the bracket the following day. The greddy stuff will come this friday. The cooler should ship today. If I go I'll leave friday or next week. Either way I be there and do some race prep for Lucario and the tc, with new fluids and a boot. I was gonna ask you to see if omar can get it and how much?

 

So I just read this entire thread at work (took 2 days) but wow I'm really impressed with everything. Maybe one day I will venture into something like this it takes a lot of dedication to go through that much stuff and not get discouraged. I tip my hat I cannot wait to see what the outcome of this is.

You're absolutely right. A less dedicated individual would have kicked the bucket on a build which had so many pitfalls. I am blessed to have such a good career, and defiant as long as I can see hope. The both of those have kept me going, and has the positive influence and reinforcement from friends/family. I sometimes just picture the finished project, in my head. It still excites me to this day. To have something I have built mostly myself, and to have something so unique and rare.

Plenty off good things still coming down the pipeline, and plenty more to share.

I can vouch for the one on the left. I got to have that fresh out of the vat when I was at the brewery in Kansas city. 12% liquid awesome. the one on the right is a shot in the dark. I just like imperial porters in general.

 

I could use some of that right now. Lol

 

Here is the old Rotora rotor, next to a rear rotor off of a Ferrari race car.

Also note the rotor mount holes between the two. The Ferrari's are still "pill" shaped whike the Rotora's are circular.



Here is the weight of the Ferrari rotor's hat. Made of Titanium.






Did a lot of double checking of measurement. Stabbed the transmission by hand, then encountered an odd "sticking" issue. It just wouldn't quite stab in all the way. Ends up that the disks are just a hair off center from the pilot bearing. So tonight I will have that sucker back in there.

Transmission in and clutch bled. Went in super easy this time, after that Dremel work on the pilot bearing.

Didn't start until 7:30pm, but it is done at least. Will be driving it tomorrow. Break in brake rotors, and fluid changes. Then ready for MSR.

These pictures help to visualize what was done to the pilot bearing. Although still hard to accurately see, you can get the idea. I tapered the I.D. inlet with a much more gradual taper and larger starting diameter than before. Which was practically a straight edge. Then due to the extremely tight tolerance between the I.D of the Micro Blue Ceramic bearing, and the O.D. of the input shaft, I ground aways at that, as evenly as possibly. To give it a little looser tolerance. Took about .010" off the I.D. really helped.
