    I have mixed feelings about the use of the word. In general it is far overused and usually inappropriate.

    If epic means memorable, our gatherings are always that. And we can always use that word to describe them. So I guess, referring to our three state, three leg journey/gathering/expedition as epic is ok.

    It is shorthand for something that really requires a 1000 adjectives to describe adequately.
