hey, was wondering if you could add the summit tube option to the first gen diy kit. I would hate to have to call to order a bumper and take you away from buildiing

I called earlier this afternoon and had him change mine to a DIY kit and add the predator headlight hoops. Great guy to deal with!

Ha, no big deal. People change orders all the time so I'm used to it especially since they're a pretty big purchase.... it's the people that want to keep changing the order specifics every few weeks during the waiting process that gets a little old.

And have you ever tig welded one of these bumpers together. I have access to all welding processes and ill prob use dual sheild flux but i kinda wanna tig it up for the hell of it

 

I've never TIG'ed one.... but I've thought about it a few times! Would look badass on the right colored truck, with clean tig welds and a clear coat over raw metal with the weld bluing showing.

 

now you got me thinking... time to paint my truck and tig my bumper

Both of the DIY bumpers i bought from you were tig welded...

 

Gotta go on a Grey, Black, or silver truck I think. Maybe on a dark blue would look good too.

Vinyl wrap it! I plan on vinyl wrapping my '98 4runner in the next year or so. Matte red.

 

3/32 2% thoriated... i did it because i was learning tig and wanted the hours behind the torch

 

for vinyl check out Grafics Unlimited in Sparks they did a good job with the three rigs where i work.

 

I'll be wrapping it myself. Just buy a big ass roll of vinyl and spend some time on 'er. Doesnt look too hard, I'll just buy enough extra to have a little room to work with it if I happen to botch up a section.
