it definitely didn't seem as bumpy there..:notsure: that place was easier, and the ledge was harder..who knows..

yea i went down the big ass side. SLAME the sliders and rear bumper and last year..kissed the sliders and didn't hit the rear bumper.

it had been dug out a lot by 4wheelers at the base..

Nothing a little practice can't help. That is unless your not comfortable with spotting someone else's pride and joy down/up something. Just take a bit or practice i think..i hadn't ever even driven with spotting ever till i met you guys..thought you all were crazy..haha was like...what..you can't just pick your own line??...haha

i know now there is more to it then that..mostly a comfort thing. for both the driver and spotter. And confidence in that you are right and picking the right line for the driver and their skill and their trucks ability.

Goose is a good one to do self spotting. Shoshone too really..some places with lots of options..this shot is a good example..

    IMG_2099_zps76fe4856_fce7fe22e0722b2ab338968e18427e735746a92c.jpg

was like 3-4 lines you could take through that real rocky section haha

and as you can see..people did their thing..

it's also important when to know when to listen to one..I kinda struggle with that..so does Mike sometimes haha

then more you know how to spot yourself tho..the more it helps spot others. cause you just have to look at it how you would drive it if you were in their truck..like..okay, mike has full skids and armor and isn't scared to scrape and slam over stuff..you..don't have armor..im gonna look at that way different ya know?

and ya..id never let you live it down..but id also forgive you :D haha i would also feel horrible flopping someones truck..mostly cause i can relate to how that would be and it totally sucks.

    Cheeky monkey.

I can't wait to go do some more stuff that requires some spotting. The last time was the proposal trip. 2 years ago...

Dudes, I swear to god I can barely keep up with preventative maint. I've had a Homeroshi sitting in my garage since, uh, like spring. My new garage is a log jam until we can sort out the post-moving carnage. And I just need to see what cash flow is going to be like with the new house. At least I got an extended brake line installed now and new rotors and pads for a little more braking oomph with that trailer in the mountains.

But I can't wait to pull the trailer into some other states, and then drop it and go have some fun here and there... You guys find some incredible spots.

I can totally see doing one of our Rockies Park trips with the wife, and saying, OK, today we are going to go meet some local lunatics. But they have good hearts and relatively clean records. And they can show us some pretty places...

Thing is, I rather just hit the trial with the doods. Of course. But that is probably even less probable than Kona swimming to Wyoming.
