Yes, there is only one screw and a few clips. Open the sunglasses holder and there is a screw in there then pull down gently on the front of the console (windshield side). Just be careful because there are 2 metal clips that will probably not come off with the console. They will more than likely be left in the little hole they came out of but you will see them. I just fished them out with my finger and they slide back over the plastic tab on the console. Then just unhook the wires from the lights and compass and wahlah.

Did it take 2 full cans to do the rear bumper? I need to do mine since I did the chrome surround grill a few weekends ago.

I had about a half of a can left over and 2 full cans just in case. I started with a couple light coats just to get a good even base and then ended up doing about 10 coats total. I used a total of about 2 cans or a little less. If you do this, make sure to change your spray pattern from coat to coat. You will see what I mean when it is wet. I did one coat with long side to side sprays then up and down on the next, then diagonal etc.

Here you can sort of see the horizontal lines. This was after about coat 3-4. That is when I started changing directions of the sprays to even it out.

If anyone is wondering about the longevity of this crap, it does pretty well. I derped the emblems on my truck about 2 years ago. They still look like they day I did them. The real test for me was my Rhino. I derped the entire thing about a month after I bought it, which was a year and a half ago. Around the bed it has started to peel off a little, but with everything I have drug in and out of there it has done a lot better than I thought it would. It still looks good on the hood too even with all the brush and trees that thing has been through. I was thinking about changing the color up, maybe a desert tan, if they make it, or a grey...
    As it started.

This isn't a recent pic, but this is how it looks derped.

    Bone stock. For now.
One of my clients did it to the factory rims on his Jeep, and it looks pretty good. I'd say go for it. It's relatively cheap, and if you don't like it you can just peel it off! Just make sure to put some Vaseline, or something similar, inside the mounting holes. That way the lug nuts won't twist off the Plasti Dip.

Now the plan is to derp the rocker panels as well to see how I like it. If so I may be painting or bed lining them.

how do you guys deal with the plastidip pealing up with the tape (that is, if you're taping off something - lots of you wheel, emblem, and grille dippers don't have to deal with this)??

seems less time consuming to do all of your coats with the original taping off; then razor the line, which never ends up perfect; and so, retape; respray one final coat, to get a smooth line; then immediately rip the tape off

or do you retape for every coat?... such a PITA

When having to tape off, I find that doing 1 light coat and let it dry. Then come back and spray like 3-4 coats all at once (4-5 coats total). Before that dries pull the tape up and you should get nice clean lines.

I Screwed up my front bumper not realizing I should pull the tape off early... lucky I got a steady hand and was able to cut it with out making it look to bad. But I still want to redo it some day.
