Good luck with it. Just take your time and don't get too anxious. If you start getting frustrated with things not going as planned (and they never do) set it aside until the next day so you don't get tempted to take short cuts.

You got all your donor parts together?

    FYI......

I have (1) 16 x 7 OEM 5 spoke steel wheel that came off of my '08 Prerunner. I have no use for it. If any of you want it I can take it to Citrus & I'll give it to you. I just don't want to throw it out. I'd rather give it to someone who can use it.

    Let me know.

Sheesh, a mounting bracket, antenna mount, 9' of coax, and an SWR meter...$73.44. Dayum.

It goes in multiples of 9' (the wave length of a CB signal, IIRC). 18' is the most common because it gets you out of the cab to the ends of the vehicle, but since my antenna mount is going to be probably less than 3' away from my radio, I really didn't want to lap 18' of coax up under the headliner.

Oh, my bad, just looked it up. 9' is equal to about 1/4 wave length, and is also the antenna length (regardless of the actual physical length).

Of course, this is an interesting article on coax length...

    http://www.stu-offroad.com/misc/myth-1.htm

Sounds like he knows what he's talking about. If so, I'm actually closer to ideal length with 9' than I would be with 18'. Far out.

Thanks for the offer. Already got mine though. Weird how when I order things from different places, I always seem to get them in the opposite order that I need them in. Got the SWR meter today. Supposed to get the antenna coax tomorrow, and the radio mounting bracket and antenna mount on Monday.
