It was Jiffy Lube too! They thought it was leaking oil because of all the oil that got on the skid plate. The guys were arguing about it.

    I run Pennzoil Platinum :anonymous:

And I had to bust the drain plug loose with a breaker bar when I changed it the first time, jiffy lube had done the previous change. Bunch of retards over there.

Too lazy to drop the skids to avoid a mess.

    Typical.

How many of you actually replace the little gasket on the drain plug? Some people swear by it, but both my dad and I have never replaced them and have never had leaks from the oil pan drain plug.

The 10 pack of OEM filters I bought on ebay came with 10 gaskets so I replace them. On my other cars I don't.

The GTO actually has a rubber o ring gasket that's re-usable so that's nice.

Hmm, nice. I should probably invest in some OEM filters.

Still use Fram filters even though everybody is against them...

The washer has a small seal on it that supposed to be replaced every oil change. I never bother though.

Mine was a fiber washer. The fiber crushes when you tighten it. I replaced mine whenever I thought to grab one off the shelf with the filter. Otherwise I didn't care.

lol I actually have done some serious reading on bobistheoilguy.com and PP is rated up there with mobil 1, but is usually cheaper. Those guys get crazy with sending in samples and posting results.

My dad would probably suck bob's dick if he had a chance. He reads that shit religiously. He came to the conclusion that as long as you change the oil on time and use a good filter, it doesn't matter what you use. He used to only use amsoil synthetic. Now he uses any full synthetic that is cheapest. And a pureone filter because they are 99.9% efficient. He put almost 300k on his civic and the inside of the engine looked shiny and new.

I go with wix filters and whatever full synthetic is on sale. I'm with the school of thought that changing it regularly is more important that what you put in

Ha not quite. You always talk about how little you are, so in turn you get a little voice. :)

I never had voices for anyone but I tried to picture everyone. Then that "what does everyone look like" thread came along and showed me how wrong I was
