    Apparently I'm not as good of a driver in the rain as I thought. And my slick tires didn't help either. Could've been worse though. Looking for a plate or hybrid bumper now. This is a good opportunity to replace it.

    No I don't think so. The bumper looks gnarly, but it really absorbed most of the damage. The radiator tie rod is damaged, but I don't think any engine components are damaged. Suspension is fine from what I could see as well.

    Damn dude! Glad you're ok. Every time I've driven in the rain so far my tires have just been spinning and they're still pretty meaty. Probably because it doesn't rain that often so all the oils and grease make it slick. On Thursday I was driving doin about 30mph and all of a sudden my speedometer jumped up to 60mph cause my tires were just spinning. Anyways, the sticker is holding up great! Was going to remove all of my stickers this weekend and just leave that one, but I don't feel like being out in the rain. It is the perfect opportunity for a new bumper! I've always liked and wanted the BruteForce Hybrid bumper.

    Thanks for the thoughts, guys. Insurance is going to cover all $6K of the damages (except for my deductible). I can't believe it's that much; it didn't look that bad. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one having a hard time in the rain. I was not in 4WD, but don't think it would've helped me much when I started to slide. Also, I love those BruteForce Hybrid Bumpers! I can't seem to find one on their website though.

    $900 seems like a lot for a hybrid. If I'm going to pay that much, might spend a couple hundred more and get a Relentless or All Pro Plate. I was thinking more like $500. Who makes a good hybrid for that much?
