I've wanted new shocks for a while and have been debating between Icons and ORI's for a bit and waiting for the right time to buy. Well the wife gave me the ok to get the new rear setup and I am basically adding these on with it... haha Jerry taunted me a few times with them so I finally bit. haha. I want to at least try them out and if I don't like them I will ditch them when I go LT up front. If I do then I will just get some longer ones.

I was going to just keep it secret, but SingleCabGuy called me out in the WY BS thread yesterday. I ordered them Friday and Jerry put them in the mail Monday got them today.

It's just stoopid power. You can wheelie at 100mph. In the dirt. Adventure bikes are crazy man.

Well... it's all my money anyway. She just gave me permission to spend my money. And really it isn't that big of a concern because we will still have plenty to live on and this spring is her last semester and she will have her Doctorate and PT's are pretty much guaranteed a job right out of school and she will make good money:cool:

You got a keeper dude. I highly advise the application of chocolate at random intervals to keep her happy. Also, do the dishes once in a while. They seem to like that for some reason.

PS (there is no "my" money once you are married. She may let you think you are driving the bus, but you aren't. Once you realize it is "our" money life gets better).

Certainly a really cool class of bikes! But I dunno, I've always been a specialized kinda guy, and by tht I mean if I want to ride dirt, I'll take my dirt bike that is made just for that. And if I want to ride on the street, I'll take my street bike that is made for that. Ya know? If I go out or a day of dirt I want to pound it and ride some rough shit, and those monsters just look too heavy and bulky for me to have fun on.

Haha I believe he hit it. What's yours is hers and what's hers is hers.

Clearly though, you found somone very special that breaks the mold and is with you on the same plane of thought. And for that I congratulate you again on picking a great wife haha.

I get her chocolate periodically :D and I just did the dishes and the laundry. She is due back from work any minute now. haha

I understand that and we basically do that, hence why I had to have permission, but this is literally my money that I have had saved up from my deployment that was over a year before we got married.

We have a shared bank account that as well as our individual accounts that still have all of our individual savings in them from before we were married.

Technically handies aren't gay, so maybe.

The KTM 990 (6 speed btw) was originally designed as a Dakar race bike. It turns out it does pretty good on the street too, but I burn off a set of knobbies in about 3000 miles. When I got this bike I sold my WR450F, WR250F, and CR500R because I didn't ride them anymore. They aren't much heavier than any other thumper out there, and although they are not designed for motocross they will do it. The problem is the AMA doesn't have a class to race them in. Even the Dakar rally banned them because they dominated for so many years because there was no competition. It's just a normal dirtbike chassis with a 1000CC motor and huge gas tanks...

Awesome! I am thinking Monday since I won't know what to do with myself Monday anyway and I am excited to get them on :D
But the whole video is only 3 minutes long:confused: haha;) Also it looks like he is running relocated shocks anyway They are both facing forward so he is running a kit like JW or Marc is. The bodies are hidden up in the fenderwells and the shafts are easy to miss.

I thought 1st gens and 2nd gens mounted their shocks pretty similarly?
