.243 is a common hunting round. lots use it for white tail and such. My list goes like so. .243, .270, 30-30, .308, 30/06. and now i have a 45/70 on the way.
I would like to get a 44 mag lever gun some day, and dam if i cant kill anything in North america with that list.

That would explain why I haven't heard of it, most if my shooting is target or competition

Okay, that makes more sense, and Wally World can be weird sometimes, I've gotten strange looks just for being by myself, if I was after any shooting stuff they would probably call the cops around here lol

I bought my mosin for 89.99, wasnt counter bored. No pits. Hits a 6 inch steel plate @ 300 yards over and over and over. I can hit a clay pigeon at 200 yards. Not all the cheap ones are bad. Then again I got mine 2-3 years ago. Looking for a m44 for a survival rifle.

Thanks! I like it because it's grippy and is speckled with some other dirt looking colors so it blends in really well with dirt.

I'll report back on how it holds up to desert shooting this weekend.

Don't set that bad boy down when you go to check targets; you'll never see it again! ;)

I actually had a friend do that with a knife. Camo pattern on the handle and the sheath. He tucked it into a bedroll and had it drop somewhere between his truck and the camp. We hunted for it off & on for three days and never found it until the following spring. Even then it was pure dumb luck; the sun had melted all the snow away from around the knife. Another two days it would all have been melted and we'd have missed it again; a day or two sooner and it would still have been buried.

Those kick ass. I wanted a full rail for the longest and finally decided on the TRP Operator w/o the full rail due to it being easier to re-holster, lower weight as well as pricing and availability. Still love the look of the full rail though.
