This sounds cool as hell but that $$$$ price tag on bamf's site scares me, is that price with or without the struts?

I believe that is the price for the ORI's without the top hats

This is the 2nd gen kit. That is the price for the struts with the top hat. All you have to do if fill them up with nitrogen and bolt them in.
    http://www.bayareametalfab.com/Tacoma-IFS-ORI-Strut-Kit_p_18.html

The are only a little bit more money than King, Fox and Icon coilovers.

As for the failure they probably have the same lifespan as coilovers. The problem is if you blow a seal you lose pressure and ride height. On a coilover you lose pressure but retain ride height, you just loose the dampening. If you have a failure like SingleCabGuy did, you are fucked either way...

Okay, if that's the price with the struts that's not bad, comparable to good coil overs, and I wouldn't mind having them, but I'd be carrying a spare strut with gas in it to be sure if I blow a seal I'm not taking the ride home on a flatbed, especially for me when all of the places to go wheel are out of state

From my understanding there has only been a few total seal falures and they were all ultra 4 buggies. And if it were coil coil overs thy would of failed as well.

Okay, they sound really good but I don't have 1300 to spend either, so I'm stuck with billies until I find a better cash source

We havent fully tested the 1st gens yet but they do fit. The kit includes the struts and all the mounting hardware.

I might keep my 5100's in the toolbox just incase but I'm not really worried. Maybe I will start carrying them after a couple years or so. I doubt the seals will go anytime soon if they ever do.
There are two chambers to pressurize. 1 adjusts ride height and the other your valving. Not sure about running other gases. I imagine it would affect the valving though. Nitrogen is probably preferred becasue it Is so easy to get and is dry.

    What haven’t I changed?
The rear window spoiler was added in the 2006 model year STI's so both wings are stock. The idea was that the rear window spoiler would direct "clean" air down to the other spoiler, or something.
