The added fuel economy of the 4cyl would save me around 8 grand in fuel over 5 years but who's counting? :D I like having the extra power in case I absolutely... must... go somewhere fast.

Do you do a lot of driving? Assuming an average 4.0 gets around 19 mpg and an average 2.7 gets around 24 mpg (I'm estimating here) and that an average gallon of gas costs around $2.75, to save $8,000 in 5 years, you would need to be driving around 4400 miles/month or 53,000 per year!!!

    Too few to list.
I've actually driven the 2.7 on a 2007 regular cab 2wd. It was my cousin's truck and I was behind the wheel driving it 50 miles and traded it in for a 2009 AC v6. My driving experience with it was fine and it would be good for daily commuting. I did however noticed that it lacked passing power on the highway and going up a hill. It all comes down to a matter of preferrence and affordability. It was traded in with 26K miles becaues my cousin didn't want to pay any more for something he wasn't happy with. He said "I should have gotten the v6 to begin with".

Tacos do drop like a feather i am so happy with the re-sale value of Tacos being high. I recently purchased a pre-owned Taco myself after about a month's homework and test driving more than 15 Tacos. Most of them were all between 50k to 100k miles ranging from 05-08 all DC and Either one of the TRD packages and most of them were averaging around 15,500 to 20,000. So i was very suprised to see that the price for a pr owned is not too much apart from a brand new out the lot. Got mine for 1800 OTD. 60k miles 05 trd off road

I have an 06' V6 D-Cab PreRunner and I average 19-20 with about 70% of that being city drving. So I don't know about you but I will stick with my ballsy V6 rather than going to a 4-banger. I haven't driven the 4-banger so I don't know the difference between the two but I love flying up the canyon roads at 70 with the pedal not even half way in.
