Yeah, I have no idea why it's only that side considering the passenger side has less weight causing more lift haha

That's what mine have done too. Slinging grease but not torn.

Been there done that on my old 96. After I replaced them once and they tore again, I said fuck it and never changed them again.

As Monte alluded to, the higher axle angles that are a result of the Eibach coils cause the boot fins to touch. Especially the inner boot fins, tho it can happen on the outers also. When they do touch, it doesn't take very long for them to wear thru.

Older rubber does fatigue and the boots can also tear at the small clamp when they are stretched by the new, higher axle angles.

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Would throwing some kind of lubricant on them frequently help? Maybe grease the boots once a week? Or some kind of grease spray?

It seems unlikely that would help to prevent a failure. Not sure tho. Maybe worth a try as a delaying tactic. Do you have a slight groove worn into the side of one or more of the fins?

    3inch toytec coils 5100's, aal(soon to be replaced), 33/12.5 km2s, + a money hole...
It's weird that everyone's boots have busted torn or leaking
I'm at 182k and mine are perfect no leaks or nothing, with no diff drop
I'm sure it helps that I have manual hubs though

Yes, that is the reason. Your axles aren't turning all the time.

Actually I'm asking these questions for future reference. I already purchased my axles for my conversion. About half way there in parts needed.

I wouldn't put anything on them. I would think it would just cause the dust and dirt to stick to the boot, then you have that added friction causing them to wear faster.

    Head unit. That's it.
I think we also get the effect of stretch and shrink. Like taking a piece of metal and bending it back and forth.

Can't you also put zipties snugly between fins that are touching to act as a spacer so they can't rub? Or is that just a myth
