Things your personal code does not allow you to do?

Own a dog not from the retreiver/hunting/hound/working groups.
Not own a shotgun.
Mix my bourbon with anything other than ice.
Give up my social life with friends and family for a significant other.
Take financial handouts, especially for something that's not a necessity.
Not drop what I'm doing to help a friend in need, regardless of how much it puts me out personally.

Sure there are others, but that's what I got for now.

 

I had a girlfriend years back that had the perfect theory on that. She said "Don't sweat the petty things, pet the sweaty things!"

As for the OP:

Deny my children anything they NEED (not want)
Turn away family
Refuse to help a friend in need, even if it puts me in financial trouble (done it many times)

 

I will not/refuse to:
-Live in the city (suburbs do not count)
-Let my parents go to a nursing home
-Let my parents lose this house
-Help anyone who does not at least TRY to help themselves
-Drive a Prius
-Steal, or tolerate those who do
-Accept government assistance unless ABSOLUTELY necessary
-Listen to rap (Mud Digger doesn't count!)
-Drive past someone stranded on the side of the road
-Kill an animal without the intent to eat it
-Do illegal drugs

Tolerate a bully

So you guys realize that the only real difference between legal drugs and illegal drugs is lobbyists and politicians, right?

A pack is taxed $2-4 depending on the state. It gives the non smokers a tax break.

 

That makes no sense to say you get a tax break for something you shouldn't get taxed on

That's like saying individuals get a tax break because corporate taxes don't apply to them

 

Let me start by saying progressive revisionist history is great!

Same as me getting taxed for school funding. I dont have kids, yet I am still being "taxed" for it.

They use the money to pay for healthcare for children in low income families. If they weren't taxed or nobody smoked, the tax burden would be put somewhere else.

 

I dont really limit myself with rules. I just live life as if my father can see everything I do.
