I had a girlfriend years back that had the perfect theory on that. She said "Don't sweat the petty things, pet the sweaty things!"

    As for the OP:

Deny my children anything they NEED (not want)
    Turn away family
Refuse to help a friend in need, even if it puts me in financial trouble (done it many times)

So you guys realize that the only real difference between legal drugs and illegal drugs is lobbyists and politicians, right?

A pack is taxed $2-4 depending on the state. It gives the non smokers a tax break.

That makes no sense to say you get a tax break for something you shouldn't get taxed on

That's like saying individuals get a tax break because corporate taxes don't apply to them

Let me start by saying progressive revisionist history is great!
After surrounding Fort Pillow, near Memphis, Forrest demanded the surrender of the garrison, which included 262 soldiers of the U.S. Colored Heavy Artillery. When the Union forces refused, Forrest’s men easily overran the fort. Then, according to several eyewitness accounts, the Confederates, enraged by the sight of black men in Federal uniform, executed many of the colored troops after they had surrendered: an unambiguous war crime. Though accounts varied, the incident stands as one of the most gruesome of the Civil War era.

All very subjective notice the word play as many white soldiers were killed as well he was all about killing Yankees in general.

As for the KKK charge at least it was in the socially acceptable era. Cant say the same for noted Progressive democrat leaders such as but not limited to Robert Byrd or Strom Thurman who if I am not mistaken was a grand wizard. And they were in power in the last decade...

Not saying he was a good guy I just like history as gruesome as it might have been.

They use the money to pay for healthcare for children in low income families. If they weren't taxed or nobody smoked, the tax burden would be put somewhere else.
