Got it detailed again. Wider wheels and tires are making it impossible to keep clean on the sides.

Put new shoes on my Taco... :)

265/70/17 General Grabber AT2 w/studs, on stock suspension.

What a difference, over the stock Bridgestone Dueller HT's.

 I don't know why they even put them on trucks destined for Canada...

Agreed! Although I am not in Canada, I can't fathom why they put those highway tires on the Tacoma. I just switched mine out to the Nitto Terra Grapplers and it made a huge difference. Feels a lot more like a truck now, as it should.

I'm not gonna lie, those new GC are sweet. Rode in one back and August and they are very comfortable.

My first 4x4 was a used 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 75,000 on it. I sod it with 195,000 miles on it to a Guy who took it to Mexico. Three years later he drove it back over to the US and I saw him. it had 223,000 miles and it was still going strong. With that said, I replaced two transmissions, 3 a/c evap coils and had the rear end changed. I could not kill the straight 6cyl but the car fell apart around the engine.

Eh don't let em getcha down, only thing I'm mad about is you traded that beautiful truck so far away from me! I've been telling the wife that the only way I would trade my truck in was on a MGM DCSB. Carbone doesn't have it up on their site yet, if they even keep it...

I was strongly considering the JGC with the new VM 3.0L diesel before I bought my Tacoma, but ultimately I decided that the premium price tag, and lower volume for storage just didn't mesh with my needs. I was also worried about about being an early adopter on the diesel motor, and the less than stellar resale values.

That being said, I can see where the JGC would be a great alternative to someone who doesn't need the pickup bed, and doesn't do significant off-roading. If you're looking for something very capable in 90% of conditions as well as being very comfortable with good power (at about the same fuel economy as my V6 Tacoma), you picked the right rig.

Let the hater's hate, sometime people forget that we all have different needs.

I installed an air compressor under the hood. Simple alligator clips to the battery and it's good to go.
