Yep. Cause the Raptor is a pos. Atleast gm is trying. Unlike toyota which is starting to get rust issues on the 2nd gens. Living in Chicago we get alot of salt in the winter and all the GM cars I've owned have had not a lick of rust on them. Where as my tacoma is another story, and my mothers 2007 landcruiser that was 60k new has rust all over the bay like a 65 chevy sitting out in the rain.

A pretty new Chevy won't come close to a dirty Tacoma when it comes to reliability, pretty simple if you ask me. I would not even consider buying a Colorado put up against a Tacoma, seriously??

Because without domestics (even POS ones) our Tacos would be aluminum shoe boxes with an engine and nothing else, I.E. competition is healthy for everyone even if the competitors product ends up being a piece of shit.

Am I gonna buy a Colorado? Nope. Am I gonna buy anything from Government Motors (GM) or Italy Chrysler ever in my lifetime? Hell no. Only GM ill own is a 3/4 ton or 1 ton from 07 prior.

A new grill and duel vvti. Maybe if we're lucky. All I have to say to toyota is pride comes before the fall. I love my taco but seriously toyota. It's time for a new one

I'd rather my VVTI choose a side rather than duel. Seems like it would be better for the motor's longevity.

Yeah, somewhat similar. Honestly though it has the same looks as any "euro-styled" pickup. Same rounded off looks like that of the Hilux, overseas Ford Ranger and whatever mid-size GM has overseas. Car-like headlight styling and all. And it's hard to tell but looks like they could have made the rear passenger windows a little bigger, also for visibility of the driver.

The lower half of the Colorados' front bumper is almost an exact replica the Tacoma...

One thing we need to consider is this. Are tacoma enthusiasts going To buy colarado's, heck no. Are normal people in the market for a mid size. If its priced right and they like it. Then yes. I hope toyota loses a ton of sales. Maybe that will get them to do something. But I fear what they do will make the tacoma worse in my book

No offense, guys, but the kind of attitude that's being spouted here, i.e. "Toyota has market share, so they don't need to worry about anything" is the kind of arrogant statement that got companies, like GM, into trouble. They at one point held 67% of the North American automobile market and sat on their hands while the Japanese, and later the Koreans, came in and consistently ate away at that market. They now sit at ~18%.

Toyota does need to do something. They need to step their game up to stay ahead of the market, and not stick with status quo. The truck is what, 9 years old now? I like my Toyotas, but no HID headlights, no sunroof, no auto up/down windows, leather that is barely a grade above vinyl, and even the unlighted 4x4 switch are simply products of complacency.

Yeah, I know you're going to say "but it's a Toyota truck, not a luxury car". Agreed. But they are too comfortable and need to up their game, like they used to. New Camry is an excellent car. I quite like the new Corolla, too. Very nicely done. So, what's taking so long to bring those same levels of commitment and design to the Tacoma?

Good points. But I'm damn happy with my'12 and wouldn't trade for anything else, despite it's quirks.
2015 Tacoma. We'll see what happens.

Boy, you've got that right, they burned me good enough that I refuse to buy another of their vehicles.

Reality is they all have their problems. Ford had gasket problems and Dodge rusted away to nothing. At this point I'm hoping I don't regret Toyota.
