    He tied a day-glo orange paracord lanyard onto his knife after that; maybe a paracord sling?

    Be happy you can even find it. I can't find it in stores or, if I can, it's overpriced 50 rnd boxes. On average, when I can find it, it's pushing $0.08/rnd. I bought a few bricks private sale at $0.05 just so I could actually go shoot.

    Same here.
    Strange thing is, Wally World actually has several choices in 5.56/.223, but NOTHING in .22, 9mm, .40, .45, or any of my rifle calibers ('06, 7mm rem mag, .35, .32, .308, etc).
    it's weird. They've got TONS of .243 though. :help::goingcrazy:

    yeah, then again too i got to shoot an AR a couple months ago and for the most part id rather shoot that than my .22 win mag... AR is just more fun and i can find 5.56 for like $0.50 a round in a 500 case at the gun shows here

    Best way to get the prices of ammo back down to reasonable? Don't buy unreasonably priced ammo. Supply v Demand 101. People complain as they're typing in their credit card number and sellers have zero reason to lower prices when they can't keep it in stock at absurd prices. Better yet, stock up BEFORE all the craziness hits so you can weather the storm and not have to shell out a thin dime during price increases.

    Very true but virtually impossible to pull off. One of those things that people will buy regardless, just like gas. Once business find out they can raise prices and not lose sales, what's the incentive to lower them back?

    demand for ammo is inelastic, just like cigarettes, narcotics, gas, and booze

    Not entirely true. Now that the horders have reached their limit you're starting to see ammo sit on shelves and even come down in price. It's happening and will continue to happen as long as we let our buying dollars speak our minds.

    true, is kind of one of those things that eventually people do get tired of high prices and they will wait for it to come back down, it just takes longer than it should.

    Not here. Shelves are just as empty as they've always been. MA has some pretty big anti-gun regulations though so it makes sense we'd be one of the last to get things back in stock... :(

    That's not your typical supply v demand then when outside law are governing the buy/sale of said items. There's reasons that the artificial inflation remain in your case but even in spite of that if people stopped buying absurdly priced items as soon as they got them in. People are just more willing to gobble up whatever at whatever price because their perceived value is much higher.

    I'm waiting it out and hoping to take a trip to nearby gun-friendly NH. The problem is, I live in MA and travel to NY frequently (which is even worse than MA). I'll get up there soon and get a decent stock to bring home.

    For the first time in a long time i came across 500 round boxes of 22LR. $60.00 for 500. EEK ! WTF ?

    all ammo has skyrocketed here in the Greater Los Angeles area, like doubled.
