I saw a new white TX PRO TRD OR with a cap on it the other day cruising west on 68. A day later i saw a new red limited with a stock roof rack headed west on 68. There are a pile of tacomas up here but i think Joe and Tico are the only dedicated TW members i've seen up here...

General grabber AWs and dextero DHT2s....sorry to say....they aren't stock....any the person that had it before just threw tires on it to get it to pass inspection. I'd get a set of tires as soon as you get off the permit for safety reasons. Those tires are fine for putzing around the city in the dry...not good for much else. But fear not, using shitty tires CAREFULLY in inclamate conditions, is some of the best learning you can get, it is just not recommended....stupid dangerous...

You'll be alright....looks like the fronts are worn almost to the wear line anyway....top of lincolns head, tires are dead.

Go with an AT (all terrain). I like my Firestone Destination AT, i also like Hankook Dynapro ATMs. General grabber ATs are okay but i've heard bad shit about them and personally i've never liked General brand tires. You do not want bridgestone rugged fails. What size tire do you need? P245/75R16? I can shop for tires for you and reccomend tires...

We used to do an AT tire on nice wheels for spring, summer and fall. Then an MT tire on a steel or stock aluminum wheel for winter.

Honestly, save money and run an AT all year. Then if you want, buy a good wheel, put a good set of ATs on it and then keep your wheels or get a set of steel ones for winter and put a different AT or even an MT if you want for winter.

You can save money and look for 245s or have 265s just to make yourself feel better....its like a little more than a 1/4" in width differnce.....that is up to you.

Here is the list of most options for 245s:
    http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?skipOver=true&width=245/&ratio=75&diameter=16

    List of (most) 265s: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?skipOver=true&width=265/&ratio=75&diameter=16

Tire rack and discount tire direct are the two best places for tire information in my mind. You find what you like and either order it from the site and pay a shop to put them on, or find a shop around you that sells the tire you want and have them get you a deal on a set (mounted and balanced).

For commercial vehicles, i think LT carcass and load range E are the heaviest you can get...you shouldn't have to worry about load at all though.

If you are buying an AT tire and know that you will be slamming into curbs a lot or off roading a lot....you might want to get an LT rated tire over a P rated tire. I wish i got LTs over Ps just because i like heavier/stronger tires

I'll buy a $1000-$1200 set of brand name, brand new, tires for mine any day over retreads.

My next set of tires will probably be LT265/75R16 hankook dynapro ATMs. Unless i find another AT with an LT rating that i'd like to try.
