    They kill your approach angle.
They increase damage to the front end in minor impacts.
They look great on the 3/4 views in the sales picture, and they don't look bad head-on, but from the side, they look like Jay Leno.

I almost put one on my '03 Tundra. I'm glad I saw one on a truck at work before I did.

Don't do it. They serve no purpose whatsoever. If you hit someone they collapse in and mess your truck up even more. They take away ground clearance. They are ugly af. There's so much more you could do with that money. Save it and then by a plate bumper down the road.

Yea you're right they don't really serve a purpose considering there small and look somewhat weak.

Probably do more damage in an accident by folding back into ur bumper, grill, trans cooler, radiator.

The mounting brackets iirc are thin

I could have bought way more useful things for what I spent on my bullbar. I'll sell it when I get a real bumper up front. It does offer parking lot protection from stray carts. It also ruins your approach angle as seen in my sig.

Don't do it. Me personally I don't like them at all. But that's me different strokes for different folks. But I would look at all the other options first: light bars, brush guards(not a big fan of these on our trucks, love the look on the old school Chevys and the 08+ square bodies) and plate bumpers.

We all went through the bull bar phase and most of us sold them later or took them to the scrap yard and got 15 cents of of them since they are so light.... I even once had one and made a 14 gauge skid plate for it... total waste of time

What do you need it for?

The only reason I have a bull bar, is to mount my fog lights on it. That's it.
    I don't wheel.....

Back in the olden days...on my 96, when I wheeled - I had a WAAG brush guard. That was actually pretty impressive for just a brush guard/cost. The lower bar and the uprights were pretty beefy. It saved my front bumper on many ocassions. Which - was the whole purpose....to save body damage.

I did eventually get a TJM front bumper. But.....that's expensive and not everyone can afford to jump right into a bumper.
