Has Toyota removed features without telling us?

I can not believe there are this many threads on a damn mirror. I get that it is in a brochure but if it isn't on the window sticker of your truck and you buy the truck it is your fault. There is a member on here that is going to write a letter to the attorney general of his state over a mirror

Maybe he'll do it on false advertisement grounds. Unhappy customers are the worst nightmare of any business.

It doesn't matter if it says it on the sticker. It says it CLEARLY in the package description. If it says it is supposed to have it, why don't ALL of them have it?

How are we supposed to know which direction to go if there is no compass in our mirrors when it clearly states in the brochure that there is??? How are we supposed to know when it is below freezing if there is no temperature gauge in our mirror when it clearly states in the brochure that there is (never mind the fact that I didn't look at the window sticker of the vehicle that I was buying)?

We will not stand for these First World problems any longer!!! I know that there are 1 out of 5 children that go to bed hungry each night but how can I find them if I don't have a compass in my mirror??? WTF????

I only occupy my own skin son... All I am saying is that......American MFG's USE to....build the same quality....now capitalistic entities have their hands all over the companies that USE to be somewhat decent.....but now they only manufacture emulated quality, trying really hard to hide the flaws which all of the people who do not question the flaws...sheepishly accept. I am only trying to help the blind.

Clearly it is not a 2014 Tacoma interior. Do I think Toyota is trying to pull one over on us? Hell no. Someone just hasn't updated the pictures.
I promise you... Somewhere in their brochure / web site it states that prices, options, and availability are subject to change. Your point wasn't missed by me but I'm pretty sure you missed mine. I wish the only worry in my life was about a damn mirror.

 

Yeah, I don't understand all the outrage. If I was buying a 2014, I wouldn't drive it off the lot until the dealer agreed to install the mirror I wanted. A brochure is not gospel, you have to read the window sticker and look inside the truck to make sure it has the options you want.

You saw how worked up I got over that! (to the two that are complaining about a mirror I didn't ) Mistake on my part because I didn't look at the rest of the sticker on my truck. Long story...

IMO, shame on the idiot who bought a car/truck without knowing what they are buying...

Toyota and Lexus were 1st and 2nd on consumer reports "most reliable" report this year. Seems to me that they are still producing some pretty nice cars and tucks...

 

Well shit...it isn't my fualt he bought what he bought. I wasn't there. So don't give me shit about it my complaining.

IMO i won't buy another Tacoma without the compass and outside temperature in the over head console. They'll either put it in before i sign the papers, or i'll go back to a full size.
