Idaho BS thread in the PNW

I am jelly of her SSD and it isn't even considered very good compared to the newer ones. It's a 1st generation Agility SSD. Her laptop will shutdown and start up ungodly fast compared to mine with my 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD. We are running the same windows 7 OS and I keep both of them with minimal programs starting up at launch. When I tell my computer to hibernate it seriously takes upwards of 3 minutes hers will do it in like 20 seconds.

As far as storage she literally just has the OS and Office on there and a few small programs like Chrome and some disk cleaners. She uses dropbox for all of her documents and a jumpdrive and my external hdd for all of her photos.

Do you know much about the haswell processors? Between the two I sent you, the tablet has a haswell CPU and the ultrabook has an Ivy-bridge. Both are 22nm tech and the Ivy-bridge has a 0.1Ghz faster clock speed. The haswell has a better graphics core though. Both of them rely on the CPU imbedded GPU for graphics

EDIT: Just realized the battery on the Tablet version is more than twice the size. 6700mAh for the Tablet and 2950mAh for the non tablet, so that is probably part of the cost.

I think I am going to get the Tablet one, but I am going to drop down a model. Which is a step down on the CPU and a half size SSD for $400 less.

Hahahhaha. Ok I guess. Strep has subsided nicely. I can eat and drink and talk ok again. Amoxicicilin should clear the rest up. Feel ok other than that. Guess I'm just wating for the next stage of symptoms haha.


How's your special day playing out?

 

my MTR's only have 1800 miles on then and the spare has never seen the road. (spare is a First gen MTR) but i doubt that'll happen befor moab

 

His MTR's probably have less than 5000 miles on them I'd guess. The MTZ's are on the lower side of tread life though.

 

lol the MTZ's on the front of the truck just hit legal tread.. they are worth something..... saving the MTR's tread for better things like snow wheeling an moab.

SSDs are definitely worth the extra cost, especially in a laptop or tablet. I hate spinning hard drives in laptops. Definitely a primary point of failure.

I have a Toshiba Ultra book running Win7 with a 128 gb SSD and it is blazing fast. Boot up time from cold is less than 20 second all with excellent battery time.

 

Yea i knew the brakes and hubs where the same and diffs. Ill just swap mine.

but yea. I doubt ill buy all of it. The axle and diffs/lockers are fine for me. But be a long time till i can get em.

If anything ill take the front 4.88s at some point.

Tablet yes. Laptop..eh...id rather have the storage..but i have lots and lots of music, programs, photos, video stuff..list goes on..hell my 3 tb drive on my mac is getting full..

 

coulda swore i said baby my truck cuz it's got a welded rear end and also remember saying i heard a pop.. so no i wont be fucking up a working truck.. work has not been great lately and i cant afford to have my tacoma cost me anymore than it already has..
