Regarding leaf packs, my truck was originally set up with All Pro 50Ts and we put a pretty good amount of use on them including the HDRA SouthPoint 250. The ride height wasn't a problem for us as the truck sits a bit higher than your average street truck anyway and it gave us a bit more up travel.

After discovering the main leaf was cracked we decided to change packs and go with the Deaver H-70 pack. While the 50T worked great, there isn't a lot of product support and as noted here, they are actually a bit hard to get a hold of.

We got the H70 pack on a very short turn around and after installing them noticed that the truck sat about 2" lower in the back. We contacted Deaver and without hesitation they said tell us what you need and send them back. Within days we had them back and on the truck with a few leafs added and the 2" inches we needed. Sounds probably like roughly what this "new" design should come out to be.

We had a positive experience with our 50T pack and have nothing against Engage but since they are retailers of the pack only, they can't provide the level of support for leaf springs that Deaver can. The guys at Deaver know their products inside and out and have been heavily involved in desert racing for several decades.

As long as our race truck is leaf sprung, it will have a Deaver pack on it. It's not just about the product, it's about the knowledge and support that comes with the stuff they sell.

It looks like the guy had a cape and was playing "toro" with the trophy trucks.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Not much point for him to get in the way of trained emergency personnel that showed up damn near instantly. It would have been good PR to get out and check, but he honestly would have only gotten in the way of people who could actually do the guy some good.

It was a pit crew member flagging the first truck in. But I guess it's easy for you idiots to just call him a dumbass who deserved it.

    I totally agree.
That is the same reason we wanted to go back to Deaver. And Jeff the owner is super cool and really wants to make the best working spring possible. He told me he wants more feedback from us leaf sprung guys. Im racing this new pack Dec. 7 in Barstow. I will have some miles on them after that race.
