Hello everyone! Picked up my 2014 Tacoma TRD Off Road DCSB last weekend after trading in my POS Scion FRS. I know what you're thinking... How did I go from an FRS to a Tacoma? Well I had an 09 4 door Jeep which I traded in for the FRS. Needless to far I'm extremely happy with my truck and can't wait to begin moding it. I hope to install a TRD Exhaust and maybe their CAI although I've read some negative reviews on it. After looking through other peoples builds I have an idea of what I'd like to do but I'm sure I'll end up with a star trooper type build. See you on the road!

Congrats on the Taco. You didn't like the FR-S? I thought they were good cars. I think you'll enjoy the Taco more than both the Jeep and the FR-S.

Most people here will tell you that any CAI is not worth it as the stock intake already draws cold air and is pretty free flowing. The exhaust may provide some improvement to HP but if it reduces back pressure too much you might lose some low end torque.

Don't get me wrong it was a good car but it had way too many things going on with it. First off the high pressure fuel pump made an annoying chirp which sounded like my engine compartment had hundreds of crickets in it. Scion/Subaru knows about the prob but hasn't figured out how to fix it. Secondly, the car idled rough as hell.. I'd be at a stop light and I'd go from 400-1200 RPMs kind of like if I was pressing the gas pedal and since it wouldn't throw any CEL codes the dealer won't do anything. The car also had a few other odd things with it which put me over the top.
