So I just found out my buddy doesn't even have a locker in his 4runner. WUT? He has a nice custom built bumper he did, sliders, and even a 3.4 swap...BUT NO LOCKER?!

 

I know its a turn off..but come on..they aren't that important..

These damn lockers are expensive unless you do the dumb mech locker. I ain't about that life. Might go with 4.30 gears an an e locker rear since they are so much easier to get than a 4.56 e locker rear.

Monte, i'm pricing out gearing for my truck, on the rear i have the option to add a solid spacer, what is that?

 

I wont have a locker till I go 35s.. shits gonna be expensive.

It's the pinion spacer. Usually it's with a copper washer which can get squeezed over time and make the pinion move changing the backlash measurements. So with a solid spacer the pinion will never move. I'd get it.

 

shims didnt work but dropping the cb helped, will drop it a bit more later. hoping 4wheelparts will take the shims back i overspent because the ones i wanted were on back order.

 

Axle shims for changing drive shaft? I used some and helped a lot but also used a 1.5" CB drop bracket.

 

Yep, i'm just pricing it out so i have it in my build, and so i have a $$ goal to shoot for.
