IMO I think that was a wise move. I am still not sold on the ORI's. Maybe a few more years of actual real world testing my change my mind, but for now they are too new of technology for me.

In reality, I hope I am forced to change my opinion.

Agree. I would really hate to lose a seal on the trail and have to drive home fully compressed on one side, then remove the shock to have it sent back for repairs. I think coilovers will take more time to tune but at least I won't be left dead in the water somewhere. Technology is cool but you can't beat tried and true coilover suspension.

Still a toss up on the ORIs for me. Just seems like adding sway bars would be a huge PITA and complicate things.

Started shaving the 60. ~1.25" clearance

I think you will come around they have been tested in real world testing for over 10 years.

The only way you would be on the bump would be to lose a lower seal and I just dont see that happening unless you snap the strut appart. The worst thing I have seen is inner seals go and you can drive just fine like that the ride is just rough.

Honestly you need sway bars. If you were on leafs it would be fine but being you linking it f&r you'll have much better/stable susp than without.

18" ORIs with 30% off from BAMF? This is SERIOUSLY tempting. :D

You wouldn't need sway bars if you adjust the dual rate stop lower so the shock engages the lower spring sooner. -Matt- has no sway bars and he claims it doesn't need them if you tune the coilovers right.

Still seems less-than-ideal to remove the shock and send it back for repairs. I already shipped the ORI's out anyway, Foxes will be here Wednesday

    Yeah wishful thinking

Anyway, I remember reading a couple weeks ago that Matt was planning on getting a sway bar. Would you only need one, or would it handle like shit without 2?

If you do one you might as well do them both.

Not sure yet. Ordering Trail Readys with my tax return and I still need an oil pan kit, all the PSC steering and a bunch of metal. I want to have damn near everything I need before I start cutting to minimize downtime.
