Its a work of art now, He has worked on some really nice old cars, bikes & trucks !!!

 

I've helped work on a few mid-60's but never got to see them come fully together. That one is beautiful!

 

Saw some girls at the gas station wearing t shirts that say in big bold letters "I am Trayvon Martin".

I asked where I could get one, they refused to tell me.

*sigh* got the starter changed out, but now it just tries to turn over, but nothing...just tries to start and doesnt...

clicking noise is gone though

 

Do you have a multimeter? If so, check your battery voltage. Make sure it's reading ~12.6v or better.

(If you don't have a multimeter...get one. It's THE most useful tool for diagnosing electrical issues you can have.)

Oh, and make sure the power cable connection to the starter is like a German virgin...gut-en-tight, yeah?

 

hahaha lol, I got a brand new battery yesterday when I first started having the issues and we triple check the connections to the starter, Ill have to try jumping the truck and see if that works

 

Did you check your fuses? Make sure you didn't blow something while replacing either the batter or the starter?

 

Wouldn't be the first time in history that a new part is defective. Still, get a multimeter and check it to be sure. And once you get it running check it then as well. Should read around 14v. This tells you that your alternator is working. If it's less than 13v or so, then your alternator is not charging and the truck is just running on the battery...which will discharge the battery until it won't have enough left to start the engine.

 

which fuses would I be lookin at? we were lookin at them earlier, but we werent sure which ones to be looking at

if and when I get it running ill have to get that checked
