If you plan on doing any sort of offroading I would suggest a coilover lift 100% over a spacer

Ok I've lurked around this topic enough. I want to go ahead and do the maxtracs. I have seen some members do a full 6" lift with there and that is what I am going for. Right now I have a 3" spacer lift kit. Basically 1.75" spacer in the front, and 1.5" in the back. Truck sits level. I know there are better ways to doing the 6" with the maxtrac than a spacer (i.e) bill's or CO.) and an all pro in the back. I will do it the right way but to just start it off I planned on using my spacer.

I know I need extended break lines and I can order the spindles with them for around 530.00 shipped or may even better. What else am I going to need to finish.

right now I am on stock wheels with 265/75/16. I know I will need bigger wheels and tires and those should be here Christmas. And then at tax time get the upgraded rear expo and bill's

Just wanting to get this ball rolling and the truck sit level. I do 1% off roading and that is usually a dirt road. Pavement pounder mainly.

Make sure you have good Flare wrench or you will strip the brake line nuts. Get like Craftsman or higher. Dont get like auto zone or Oreilly's wrench.

Damn just ran to autozone and bought one for this weekend. I'll swing by Sears tomorrow. Do you have to remove the bearing? I also read in directions about abs sensor any problems out of those?

You do have to remove the bearing. But if you move the hub so the 4 bolts that hold the bearing in are backed out into the studs evenly it falls right out.

Make sure you route the ABS lines inbetween the 2 lower bolts on the ball joint BEFORE you tighten them up. Its really easy to forget about them when you are assembling the spindle to the control arms.

What kind or brand of rear shocks are y'all using if you just have the spindles up front and how big of a block if you use a block instead of adding leafs?

Most use bilstein 5100 with no add a leaf or no block
For add a leaf and block 5100 extended shock (which I believe is the 5150)

Would you not be nose high if you just use the 5100 shocks? Cause I thought they were the same length as the stock ones?

I have seen the 5100 rear shocks but I haven't seen the 5100 extended ones does the extended ones proved lift in the rear?
