Line-X Dallas?

My truck came with a bedliner already, but I'm looking for quotes to spray some sliders and a light bar.

Line-X seems to be the internet's heavy favorite. Yes?

Anyone know a good place in Dallas/DFW?

 

The one in Plano is going to rip you off. He wanted $500.00 just to spray my sliders. I know their is a Lone-X dealer off of 20, west of I-45, on the north side of 20. Don't know anything about the shop though.

 

Haven't found that place.

LINE-X of West Fort Worth quoted me the sliders for $340+ tax and $197 for the front light bar.

Not cheap at all...

 

I decided to do it myself. Used the rustoleum bed liner spray and I am happy with it.

 

Have any pics? I generally have thought against professional powder coat or line-x jobs on body armor because it will never touch up the same. I shoot everything with a durable rattle can and touch up just as easily.

 

Me? No. Haven't even recieved my sliders/light bar yet. Just trying to do my research ahead of time.

 

I ended up using Line-X of Dallas, off I-20 (though they're moving soon). Got my Avid sliders and light bar coated. Cheapest price I found after calling/emailing around, and had about a 24hr turn around time.

I'd happily use them again.

 

Well, don't use the rustoleum spray. The stuff started to peel on me this week, even with all the prep I did. I took them off this weekend and tried to get as much of it off as possible. Going to get them line-x'd this week. Found a good deal and going to take them up on it.

 

Mind if I inquire about your prep process? I plan on rattlecanning mine with the same stuff but I'm going to have mine sandblasted and primed before I can them. The material I made them out of is new material but new tubing can be pretty slick and hard to prep without etching the surface with abrasives.


I also plan on rattlecanning a stripe down my rocker panel and bottom of my doors on each side with this stuff as line-x, Toff liners, and some other places all said the same thing... 650$ - 800$ mainly because of the labor for prep and taping of the ENTIRE truck which I dont plan on doing.

 

First off, don't use TOFF. I had the stuff installed in my old tundra and that stuff peeled like crazy and I never abused the bed.

For the bars, I used a wire wheel, Scotch brite pad, and some sandpaper, self etching primer, and then sprayed. The stuff came out great but the stuff still peeled. I took a chance based on the off and on reviewed I had read and unfortunately I did not work for me.

I have a couple of friends who swear that the Raptor Liner is really good....

 

Been a couple weeks and forgot to update the post. Finally was able to find the time to install my bars agin. The line-x came out great. Have no complaints. Night and day difference compared to the rattle can bedliner spray.
