Would you expect anything less from BJ? The only thing he has time for is protesting other racers, and PR stuff that involves helping his head grow bigger. He has no class as a racer.

Then the discussion of h70s and e30s occurred.

These f67s are like brand new, you can run them as is or have Deaver tweak to specifications.

If you want my number just hit me up, the leaves and hardware are located at DTF headquarters

I know you're a MORE guy but we're working on a little something for SNORE's Battle at Primm. A bit of a leaf sprung party and you're invited. If you think you might be interested in racing it, shoot me an email at TPFracing@gmail.com and I'll get you a bit more info.

Agreed, it IS a sanctioned race but devoid of any kind of crowd control (which is the way of baja races, but it happens here too) Regardless if the guy hit was a flagger in the pits (which by nature you'd need to be more on your toes anyway) or just typical spectator, the fact that it is a race with obvious risk , at some point people either working the event or just watching have to take some responsibility for making sure they're watching/or working in as safe a zone as reasonable, just like the tragedy at the MDR race a year or so ago, it was just a matter of time before it happened.

Even in well sanctioned events with crowd control theres always going to be a few that will risk themselves (& the driver ) to get the $$money shot..

No reason to bash Baldwin IMO

hahaha, If Baldwin is a douche, what does that make Robby Gordon ??

A super douche ?? C'mon guys , it's an offroad race, its a competition & those race have a competitive "edge" about them, you better have one if you expect to win or place in any event, guys say about Robby "Don't even try to approach him, he's an asshole that wont give you the time of day."

I met Gordon once in front of the gas station at Ocotillo, it was during the week & he & some other guy pulled up in some prototype trophy truck I figure, & shared some small talk about the local area, Toyo tires (haha), seemed like a pretty friendly guy to me but I know he's not that way on race day, what pro racer is ?...:notsure:

I don't think Robby Gordon goes into a local business, expects you to stop what you are doing, pull a car off the rack you are working on, and work on his, and when you say you can't, throw a fit, and do a burn out leaving the parking lot.

And this philosophy is full of fail, because Rob Maccachren is an amazing racer full of class, and it shows in his racing.

Why, is that what BJ said/did to you ?? & how is a competitive "edgy" mindset a fail when racing against others that want to win so bad they can taste it? I'll just direct you to get with member Res4cue (John) who has been doing the EMT role for SCORE events for a few years, he knows most if not all the guys on top, can't say if Robby would or wouldn't act that way , ask john he's the only one I know that Robby has "tapped" in the rear to move over when he was on his way to an emergency, now is that "class" move or someone who's mindset is on winning ?? just sayin'

I dont know, I've been around drivers in a lot of styles of racing, it seems that they all have a certain attitude which isn't necessarily a bad one, it's whatever it takes to win will be done. When I personally talked to bj he was nothing but respectful and informative, he actually got me into this sport but opinions are exactly that, doesnt matter if you don't like him, he drove into a dust cloud and a guy was on the other side not paying attention, sucks

Its getting better. Or worse. Actually, way fucking worse....

    http://www.dezertrangers.com/vb/fab-shop/178719-10.htm

"So im caging the truck in a week. But i need to decide if i want to buy the tools, the tubing and do all the bending and fitting myself, tak it together and have a pro weld it, or if i want to just drop the $1500 on a fully pro cage. What i really need to know is how technical is getting the right bends and fitting it? Im doing a rally race in march so ill make it a race legal cage.. 1.75 dom 6point cage. Im not going to the frame though, i like having cab flex to quiet things down and not knock around so ill sandwich the cab between two plates and weld the cage to that. If i pay a guy to do it itll be $1500 if i do it itll be $300 for bender $250 for tubing and $200 to finish weldin it 360 professionally."

The guy that got hit, his name is Gary, Gary has been around and is a good guy, he is banged up, but will be OK.
PS, RG is a douche, and anyone that thinks a first year ride with very little test time { hst } is going to kick ass in the Dakar this year, i am willing to go out on a limb and say Not. Keep your eyes on Sainz and De Villiers
    carry on.

I met RG a couple times, and he was always friendly to me. His pit guys weren't into answering technical questions, but I'm sure they hear it all the time and get tired of explaining V-drive to n00bs. He was cool enough to take people for rides in his TT, take pictures, let us put stickers on his TT, etc. I got a little track time with him head to head in the taco even. Well, till he passed me sideways at 100. I bet if you sat down and had a beer with anyone in the offroad world, you would find more similarities than differences.
